Dearly Beloved

Be sincere in your dealing with God and man. The truth is that many people in the church are not sincere. There are many pretenders in the body of Christ. Unfortunately, not many people have spirit of discernment.

Our Lord and Saviour said it all in our memory verse: Do to others as you would like others do to you. If we can follow this single and apparently simple principle, life would be very much enjoyable as there will be much trust in relationships. A senior colleague once suggested to me that I am doing my spirituality in a simplistic way. My response was that there is nothing complex about the word of God. The gospel has been presented to man in a simple way and that may explain why many take the bible for granted. We have to receive the gospel like little children. The Word of God is very sincere and honest . Do not try to play pranks with the Word. Men of God should not present the gospel in a complicated way.

Let us be sincere with the Word. Let’s us be sincere with one another. Let us be honest with one another. Let us be submissive to one another in love:

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2Corinthian 11:3).

Father, please give us the grace of sincerity in our dealing with you and with men in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Dearly Beloved

The word of God is very transparent. You can see through the word of God. He is absolute light. There is no trace of darkness or secrecy with the Word.

When you watch what is going on in the church today, especially as it relates to how money is handled, there is no doubt that many powerful ‘men of God’ will fail the transparency test. Do you ever wonder why the pastor’s wife if often the treasurer in the church? Recently, a friend of mine was reminding me that in some churches the pastor does not even trust his wife when it comes to keeping money!

How transparent are you in life? As a Christian, do you think you can hide anything from Christ? What are those things you are hiding to do that you don’t want those close to you to know? Husbands, what are those things you are doing which you don’t want your wives to know and vice versa? What about about the oneness that God Himself had desire in the beginning ( Genesis 2:24)?

Nothing is hidden in heaven. The Word of God is perfectly transparent, open, honest, compassionate and faithful. He is the truth. We should aim to be like Him.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).

Be transparent in everything you do. You can hide nothing from Jesus.

Word for Today: Only the truth can make us free indeed.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

Dearly Beloved

Many people are in bondage, but unfortunately, they don’t know it. There are levels of bondage, just as there are levels of freedom. The worse form of bondage is spiritual bondage. Many people in one form of spiritual bondage or the other can go to great extent to explain that they are not in bondage. Spiritual ignorance is a big factor to being in spiritual bondage. The word of God says:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).

You may ask, freedom from what? Freedom from all semblance of darkness such as fear, doubt, distress, pains, poverty of any kind, frustration, anger, hopelessness, fruitless efforts etc .

As a son of God, it’s your responsibility to be free indeed. Embrace the truth in the word of God right now and be free indeed. You know that the Truth is no other person than our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life ( John 14:6).

Have a blessed new day of perfection.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Jesus for the grace in your word.

Word for Today: Let the word of God guide you.

Memory Verse

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…” (2Timothy 3:16-17).

Dearly Beloved

The word of God is quick and powerful. The word of God is light.

The word of God should guide you in life. God has designed His word to reveal your errors and mistakes in life and to instruct you in righteousness. Do everything you need to do to embrace the word of God and keep Him in your heart.

As you meditate on the word of God daily and store Him in your heart, the word of God should lighten you up and prevent you from sinning. Hence, the Psalmist said:

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” (Psalm 119:11).

Blessed new day in Jesus Name.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
