Dearly Beloved

“O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever” ( Psalm 136:3-5).

“If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say…Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 124:1-8).

Ministry of the Word: True Spirituality

Dearly Beloved

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you” (Philippians 4:8-9).

Remember, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he ( Proverbs 23:7)

Dearly Beloved

“Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Psalm 107:17-21).

Word for Today: Rejoicing in Long suffering in Christ Jesus.

Word for Today:

Long suffering in Christ Jesus.

Ministry of the Word-True Spirituality

Memory Verse

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts”(Galatians 5:22-24)

Dearly Beloved

Have you ever wondered why long suffering is a component of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22? You will notice that the fruit of the Spirit is one (singular). It’s not fruits. In Christ Jesus, God expects you to remain joyful no matter your challenges , just as our Lord and Saviour set us an example. No one has ever experienced the suffering Jesus went through on earth, yet He remained joyful. This can only be possible with the help of the Holy Spirit. Many children of God complain easily and speak negatively, when challenged. This should not be so. If you have received the Holy Spirit, you have every reason to be joyful no matter your trials.

The challenges and trials you go through in life are what God uses to shape and refine you you. You have to remain steadfast and joyful no matter the severity of your life storms. Remember the trials of Job. Beloved brother James puts it this way:

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience…” (James 1:2-4).

Apostle Paul called our trials ‘light affliction’:

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…” (2Corinthians 4:17-18).

Yes, those things we see are temporary. Keep your focus on the Word of God always no matter your challenges. Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you.

Have a Spirit-filled Sunday.

Thank you Jesus.

Thank you Jesus.

Thank you Jesus.

Dear Father, please give us the grace to rejoice when challenged as we keep our focus on the Word, in Jesus mighty name. Amen
