Perfection is the Nature of the true God.

Theme: Perfection is the Nature of the true God.
Memory Verse: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matt 5:48).
We thank God in Christ for ushering us victoriously into the month of perfection . Perfection is the true essence of our God. His eyes are too pure to behold iniquities. His grace is all we need to live a victorious life in an evil generation.
According to our memory verse, Jesus declares that God expects all His children to be perfect. Indeed when God called Abraham, the first commandment giving to him was to walk in perfection with God: “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect” (Gen 17:1).
In the body of Christ today (the Church), I have been opportune to interact fairly regularly with Christian brothers and sisters, who think, talk and behave as if perfection is not a reality. Many will readily quote the saying: “To err is human”. However, this is not written anywhere in the Bible . God will not ask his children to be perfect if perfection is impossibility with man. God will not ask his children to be holy if holiness is not possible with man (Lev 11:44). Perfection is linked to holiness. Apostle Peter reiterated it a few times: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1Peter 1:15-16).
What is perfection?
Perfection can be explained as a state of completeness and flawlessness. Perfection is a state of excellence. A state of purity, without mistake, error or fault. In other words, there should be no single fault, error or mistake in what is being examined. No wonder the blessings of Deuteronomy 28: 1-14, requires diligent obedience. Apostle James puts it succinctly: For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all (James 2:10); James also enabled us to know that SIN is linked to knowledge: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” ( James 4:17).

There is a bible character called Daniel. The Scripture says when his enemies examined him, they could not find a single fault because of the excellent spirit in him, hence in their wickedness they set a trap for him, but fell into it themselves. The word of God says this of Daniel : “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Dan 6:3). The Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus, that dwells in every true believer is a Spirit of excellence and perfection. There is no single error, mistake or fault in Him.

Oneness with God in Christ Jesus, the Word of God, is the only authentic platform for man’s holiness and perfection on earth. Truly, no one can be holy or perfect by his own strength. Cleaving to God in oneness is very vital to attaining perfection on earth. This is God’s plan for his children. In the words of Prophet Jeremiah: “For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear” (Jeremiah 13:11).
However, oneness with God does not come without a price. The Scripture says Jesus himself learnt obedience by what he suffered, though a Son and fully God. The Word says: “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him “(Heb 5:8-9). The challenges you go through in life are what God uses to transform you if you maintain the right focus, and faint not. God uses your life challenges to bring you to perfection.
Jesus enjoyed absolute oneness with his Father. He was able to say: ” I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). Please note that, oneness does not necessarily connote equality, but POWER (this is a very common error of thinking even by big title holders in the Church). In the same book of John, in humility, Jesus was able to add: “for my Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). If Jesus was one with his Father, we can also be one with God the Father through Christ Jesus. This is a glorious oneness that Jesus extended to all true believers out of love. He says: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” (John 17:22-23). Thus, man’s perfection is derivable from his oneness with a pure and holy God. Man on his own strength can never be perfect or holy.

Beloved, as you cleave to Him this month of perfection in a quality relationship, praise, worship and meditation on his words, may He arise for you in Jesus precious name. Amen!
Please ensure you walk with Him in righteousness, holiness and purity in the words of God. His name is Holy! He is the only spiritual ally you can trust hundred percent! Diligent practice of the words of God brings holiness, the exact nature of God. He does not compromise on holiness. The Word says: “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” (Hab 1:13)

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). However, the first thing you must desire greatly is total spiritual freedom through the truth in the word of God ( John 8:32).

Prayer: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace of perfection in Jesus mighty name. Amen

THE LOVE OF GOD-by sister Juwon Osundinakin

 18 December 2014.

God created man to prove His love. The scripture tells us of the great love God has towards man. After the creation of man, God planted a garden in Eden and He beautified the garden so that man would be comfortable and enjoy the love of God Almighty.

“And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed” (Gen. 2:8).
After the creation of man, sin came in and man lost the glory of God which is the love of God towards us. Still God loves us because He does not want man to perish without enjoying the great love He has for us. God shows His love to us no matter what wrong we might have done neither does He condemn us because he loves us so much.
“She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more” (John 8:11).

God does not condemn us for our sins, He pardons us all the time for His name’s sake. There is no love so great as that which God has for man, to have given His only Son as the sacrificial Lamb for the washing away of our sins. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
How great is this love to put a child to death for the sake of sinners who do not acknowledge Him and love Him back, yet He still beckons onto us and wants us to share of His greater love only if we acknowledge Him. “The ox knows its owner, and the ass its masters crib; but my Israel does not know, my people do not consider.” (Isa. 1:3).

The Lord loves us so greatly and He wants to reason with us on all matters (our life, family, job …), both spiritually, financially as well as materially. That is why He says “come now and let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins be as scarlets, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isa. 1:18).

The Lord God is waiting for you to acknowledge Him today and begin to live abundantly in His greater love.

Life of Holiness-by Bro Ewaen Ekhator

Life of Holiness!
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Beloved, our aim is to be with our maker at the end of our sojourn here on earth. The only way we can achieve that is to live a life of holiness for without holiness no man shall see the Lord.

God’s wish for us is simple: constantly live a life of holiness. The bible records for us in 1 Thess. 4:7, “For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.” Brethren, it will be so disheartening for us to continue to live an unclean life after being called to live a life of holiness by the almighty God. God Himself chastises us to show us how much He loves us and to prove to us that we mean so much to Him. The Word says : “For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness”(Hebrews 12:10).

I pray God to help us as we live a holy life: “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”(Ephesians 4:24).

And then we shall continue to live a holy life that is pleasing to our maker. (Here you could mention the writer’s name eg Apostle Paul or Brother Paul admonishes us): “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God”(2 Corinthians 7:1).

When Jesus was born, a prophecy went before him:  “In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life”(Luke 1:75). Brethren, I admonish us to live in holiness all the days of our lives in Jesus Name, Amen.

Be Still and Know that I am God.

  Improving our Spiritual Understanding

Theme: Be still and know that I am God!

Memory verse: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth (Psalm 46:10)

How often do you LEARN to be STILL before the LORD? No doubt, God loves our loud PRAISE and Noise. Psalm 100:1 says: Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

However, if you want to see God in ACTION, you have to learn to be STILL, SILENT, and QUIET, before the Lord from time to time. God has already started to do something through us that will MARVEL many people. I am not just saying this out of emotions, but rather, I stand on the authority of the word of God: Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you (Hab 1:5). If you are truly born again, then spiritually, you have been recreated by God in Christ Jesus, therefore you are for Signs and Wonders (Isaiah 8:18).

There is a new evidence based psychological therapy in Health Science, called Mindfulness Therapy, use to treat common mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and stress related problems. Mindfulness Therapy, is a practical therapy, with emphasis on patient being guided to focus their minds on HERE and NOW, aimed at developing increasing self control of the mind. The word of God enables us to know that what we focus our mind on is vital to our health and overall wellbeing, hence Brother Paul admonishes us: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Phil 4:8). We thank God that science is now fully in agreement with the word of God.
In conclusion, to see God in action in your life, learn to focus on Him (His words), in silence and quietness. Learn to be still before the Lord. If I may ask you, what are your predominant thoughts? Never forget, as a man thinketh in his heart so is he (Prov 23:7). Many in the body of Christ, daily get overwhelmed by the challenges and issues of life, no wonder it may be difficult for them to enjoy the Presence and Leading, of the Lord, which is usually with a still small voice: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice (1Kings 19:11-12). Many in the body of Christ have turned prayers to monologue. They are the only one talking to God, and very rarely wait in silence to hear from God. Whereas God is saying: Be still and know that I am God.

True spiritual training will ultimately enable us to develop the Mind of Christ (1Cor 2:16). A mind that knows what to do in every situation and circumstance. A mind full of grace, truth, love, purity, joy, glory etc. An extremely humble mind! A mind that esteems others above himself. A mind that is peaceful. A mind that avoid strife at all cost. A mind that is other-centered! A mind that honors others above ourselves.

Have a Spirit-filled week!
MY PRAYER: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace to be still before the LORD in Jesus precious name. Amen.
In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Col 3:16). The entrance of the WORD is the true source of LIGHT in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs (Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to seek first the kingdom of God & his righteousness(Matt 6:33). Righteousness exalts(Prov 14:34). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from bondage, and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus is the Truth(John 14:6). The words of God are spirit & are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We create the awareness that Jesus has made all true believers :kings and priests unto God and his FatherRev 1:6). In addition, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers, using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will exalt his holy name (Psalm 46:10). One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve everyone’s spiritual understanding! Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge(Isa 5:13). Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen. Websites: http//; http//
