Happy Good Friday and Spirit-filled Easter 2017 to our beloved MOW family.
We bless God for the glorious event that started today.

Word for Today:Tell us your testimony.

Word for Today:Tell us your Testimony.

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south” (Psalm 126:1-4).

Beloved

A genuine encounter with the Living God in Christ Jesus should produce a testimony.

When the enemies have held you captive, and you think there is no way of escape, and suddenly, you make contact with the true SOURCE of life, and He sets you completely free, it is like a dream. The Psalmist tells us this much in our memory verses.

If God in Christ has done something marvelous for you, please go out and tell others. Go out and testify, so that He will do more for you. We want to hear your testimony. Do not be ashamed of testifying. Do not be ashamed of the gospel. Like the man born blind from birth went out to testify. While they were debating whether Jesus was a sinner or not, the man born blind from birth whose eyes were opened by the Lord testified: “Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see” (John 9:25). Yes, now I can see!

The testimony of the Samaritan woman at the well, did not just convert a few people ,but entire community. She testified: “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did (John 4:29). The Bible says: “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did” (John 4:39).

When Peter had an encounter with Jesus, he realized he was a sinner and did not deserve such unimaginable breakthrough : “When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord” (Luke 5:8).

The lame man healed by the Lord through Peter, at Temple gate, called Beautiful testified by: “walking, and leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:8).

Saul, (now St Paul), following that epoch-making encounter with the Jesus, surrendered all, trembling and astonished, said: “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”(Acts 9:6).

When God decided to deal with an initially proud idol worshiping king, he surrendered and quickly acknowledged the living God. Listen to his testimony: “And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation” (Daniel 4:34-35).
Following the miraculous crossing of the red sea, Moses was moved to create a new song: “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods?

who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Exodus 15:11)

Following Hannah’s divine encounter, she was moved to compose a new song: ‘There is none holy as the Lord:for there is none beside thee:neither is there any rock like our God’ (1Samuel 2:2)

The entire Bible is full of testimonies!

So what is your testimony? What is your song? What can you tell others about the new life or change Jesus Chrpist has brought to your life? Brethren, has Jesus done something for you? Has He healed you of that illness or afflictions which doctors could not like the woman with the issue of blood(Matt 9:20-22); Has he blessed you with wealth; has He blessed you with wisdom, then please, go out and testify, and He will do more for you.

Please, tell us what Jesus Christ has done for you.

“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”(Rev 19:10).

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

There is someone reading this message , before the end of this month ,may you have something to tell others about the goodness of the Word of God in your life, in Jesus Mighty name. Amen!

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Exemplary Life.

Word for Today:

Exemplary Life!

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1Tim 4:12).

Beloved,

A true Christian life is a life of integrity and example for others to emulate. Meekness and humility are vital for us to be guided in the right direction. The Word says:
“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way” (Psalm 25:9). Humility is the basis for our exaltation. The scripture says, Jesus was exalted on account of his humility, and given a name above every other name, that when the name JESUS is appropriately used, every knee, power, force, authority etc, whether in heaven, on earth, underneath the end, should bow to the glory of his holy name (Phil 2: 9-10).

The bible says Christ in you is your hope of glory (Col 1:27). To what extent can others see Christ in you? The Word says as true believers, we are the epistle that people should read: “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men” (2Cor 3:2). Epistle of Christ, written not in ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of theheart (2Cor 3:2).

Our memory verse above says we should be an example to others in: WORD, CONVERSATION, CHARITY, SPIRIT, FAITH, & PURITY. I pray that God gives us increasing understanding in this area. Going into details of each of these words would have been edifying but is beyond the scope of this message. However, in my spirituality journey thus far, I have discovered that out of ignorance, many Christians significantly limit their progress in life through their thoughts and words, ignoring what the Scripture says: For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matt 12:37).

The book of proverbs says: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Prov 18:21).
The word of God is the Word of Life (1John1:1). When you wake up every morning by the grace of God, speak the living word of God to your life and the lives of others, for example: Greater is he in me than the one in the world(1John 4:4); Christ in me is my hope of glory (Col 1:27); resist the devil, and he will flee from you (Jam 4:7); ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”(Phil 4:13) etc. If you do this every morning, and you are in Right Standing with God in Christ, you are sending a serious warning to the devil and his cohorts that you are untouchable.

 Be mindful of your thoughts!
Be mindful of your words!
Be mindful of your actions!
Be an example for others to follow!

Prayer

There is someone reading this message, receive the grace to live exemplary life, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!

Word for Today: Spiritual warfare requires knowledge

Word for Today:

Spiritual warfare requires knowledge .

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” (1Tim 1:18).

Beloved

Whether you believe me or not, life is a battle. Everyone fights the various battles of life, whether you believe in God or not.
Unfortunately, some believers are under the impression that once you have given your life to Christ, they don’t need to do anything. Jesus will do everything. This is absolute spiritual ignorance. In life, you sow before you reap. The Scripture says: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge(Hosea 4:6).
In our memory verse above, apostle Paul charged his spiritual son, Timothy, to war a good warfare. The Word says Jesus came to earth to destroy the works of the devil (1John 3:8).
As spiritual Christians, let us go about our duties daily with the consciousness of the fact we are at war at all times-at our places of work, in our families, in our ministries, within our communities etc. We must also be conscious of the fact the war we are called to fight is spiritual, not physical. “For we wrestles not against flesh and blood” (Ephesians 6:12). Hence, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal..”(2Cor 10:4).
Every true believer is a soldier of the cross. Jesus is the Captain of the army of heaven. He rides in a white horse. His names include: Truth, Faithful Righteousness (Rev 19:11). and the Word of God (verse 13). He wages war with sword from his mouth: And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword (Rev 19:15).

The weapons of our warfare are the words of our mouth!
Brethren, we are at war. But it is a spiritual war. It is a war between good and evil. It is a war between right and wrong. It is a war between light and darkness. It is a war between perfection and imperfection. It is a war against ignorance and sin. It is a war against all forms of captivity and oppressions. It is a war against poverty. It is a war against sicknesses and diseases. It is a war against accident. It is a war against untimely death. It is a war against seduction and manipulation. It is a war against anxiety, fear, doubt, and unbelief. It is a war against unfaithfulness and insincerity. It is a war against laziness and idleness. It is a war against pretence and hypocrisy. It is a war against coldness and lukewarmness. It is a war against falsehood, gossiping, hatred, unforgiveness and lies. It is a war against wickedness, in all forms. It is a war against Satan, devils, demons and their cohorts. It is a war in defense of truth, openness, righteousness, honesty, integrity, transparency, divine health etc. Our Captain, Jesus Christ, is in charge. Let us follow his examples. His name is Righteousness! His name is Truth. His name is Faithful.

He says: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matt 5:48)

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace to war a good warfare against all forms of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.
