Word for Today

The Word (56)-The Word of God is Eternal.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away” ( Mark 13:31).

Beloved 

The word of God is the single most important thing in heaven and on earth. The prayer of every true believer is to make it to heaven. We currently enjoy living on earth despite all the wickedness going on. I believe we enjoy living on earth because even though all believers pray to go to heaven, very few believers are ready to die.
As important as heaven is in the scheme of God’s creation, our memory verse says heaven will pass away, even as this earth will pass away. The only thing that will never pass away is the word of God. This is an indication of how much God values His word. If you truly love God, then you will value and honour His word above every other thing.
Is the word of God your delight? Are you delighted when you see the Word of God. Does the word of God excite you and give you joy? Like the Psalmist confessed, without the Word, you are very vulnerable. Hold unto the word of God if you desire to be set free from all afflictions.

“Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction”(Psalm 119:92)

PRAYER

Father, please, give me the grace to value your word above all other things in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (55)-IT IS WRITTEN!

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” ( Matthew 4:4)

Beloved 

When Jesus was was tempted by the devil, the weapon He used to defeat him was : it is written (Matthew 4:4-11).
If you sufficiently meditate on the word of God, you will always know the right word of God to use whenever you are challenged by the devil or circumstances beyond your control. Remember that Jesus did not have to open a bible to read out the written word of God when he was tempted. The word of God in Christ, hidden in your heart, generates power.

The truth is that God is keen to make you a living word of God. It is the word of God in your heart that you can make use of when challenged. It is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks ( Matthew 12:34).
How often do you say: It is written? The word of God is your greatest weapon against everything contrary to the nature of God. We encourage you to store the word of God in your heart.
Yes, you are to become a living word of God:
“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men…” (2Cor 3:2-3).

PRAYER

Father, please, give me the grace to always learn to say IT IS WRITTEN, when ever I am challenged in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (54)-there is security in the Word.

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (Proverbs 18:10).

Beloved 

There is absolute security in the Word of God. There is security in the name of the LORD.
We live in a world with many daily challenges. The word of God says your enemy move about like a roaring lion, looking for who he may devour. On your own strength, you are powerless , but when the grace of God is upon you, nothing can harm you; nothing shall be impossible for you to do.

Any time you are acutely challenged such that there is no enough time to say many things, one word you must never forget is JESUS. If you have to mention two words, let it be BLOOD of JESUS. At the faithful mention of the highly exalted name Jesus, every challenge must bow. Every sickness must bow. Every contrary spirit must submit( Philippians 2:9-10)

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).

PRAYER

Father, please, give me the grace to always enjoy your PRESENCE in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (53)-the Word of righteousness.

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17)

Beloved 

If you want to work in the righteousness of God, there is no alternative but cleave to the word of God and meditate on the Word day and night. 
Only the word of God can lead you on the path of righteousness. Without the word of God, you would be doing many things that seem right but the end of it is death (Proverbs 14:12). The word of God is always right and all the works of God are done in righteousness (Psalm 33:4).

If you are unable to make much progress in life or if it seems as if you are rotating in one spot, examine yourself in the light of the the word of God. The book of Proverbs says:
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” ( Proverbs 14:34)

PRAYER

Father, please, give me the grace to work and walk in the righteousness of your word in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
