The Word (49)-Have you found the Word?

The Word (49)-Have you found the Word?

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it ” (Matthew 13:45-46).

Beloved

Am often amazed that people who claim to love Jesus Christ, the Word of God, do not often have time for Him. If truly you have found Him and you understand His value, you would consider all other things as nothing in accordance with the experience of apostle Paul.
Someone has said many people in the body of Christ, are merely befriending Jesus, they have not yet fallen in love with Him. Perhaps, this is true. How often do you spend time with the Word in 24 hours? I do not mean in the religious sense. How often do you eat the word of God? (Jeremiah 15:16). How often do you share Jesus Christ with others in 24 hours? Out of 7 days in a week, how often do you share the truth in the Word with others?

Jesus Himself taught us many parables such as above, to explain the value of the word of God and the kingdom of God. Apostle Paul considered everything else as nothing after he found the Word. Hear him:
“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ” ( Philippians 3:7-8).

Please, wake up!

PRAYER

Father, please, give me the grace to value the Word above every other thing in my life in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (48)-the word of God is your SWORD.

MOW-True Spirituality

Word for Today
The Word (48)-the word of God is your SWORD.

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:17)

Beloved

The word of God is your spiritual sword with which you wage war. Imagine yourself being at war front in the physical sense without your sword or any weapon. Some Christians behave as if they have fulfilled all righteousness, once they ‘go to church’ with a big bible in their hands.
Many Christians lack the understanding that Christianity is a spiritual warfare. We are at war. It is a war between light & darkness. It is a battle between faith and doubt. It is a fight between good & evil. It is a battle between truth & lies. It is a battle between good health and sickness. It is a battle between coldness and hotness. It is a battle between knowledge and ignorance. It is a fight between justice & injustice. To be a winner in these battles of life, you need to learn increasing spiritual understanding. You need to put on your full armour of God (Ephesians 6:11). Lack of humility has deprived many from learning, partly due to the simplicity of the gospel.
Apostle Paul admonished his spiritual son, Timothy:
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (1Timothy 6:12).
My prayer is that before you complete your sojourn on earth, you will be able to say as Apostle Paul: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…” (2Timothy 4:7-8).

PRAYER

Father, please, give me the grace to be a winner in the battles of life in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (47)-the word of God is for ever settled.

MOW-True Spirituality

Word for Today

The Word (47)-the word of God is for ever settled.

“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).

Beloved

Trust in the integrity of the word, and you find out that no matter your circumstances, all things will work together for your good at the end.
Everything written in the word of God is true. Unfortunately, some people only obey the word of God selectively, both within the church and outside the church. Selective obedience is dangerous. Every word of God is true. Every word of God is pure.
God is not a man that He would lie. God can never deny Himself. The scriptures cannot be broken. Your responsibility is to trust the Word of God completely:
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him” (Proverbs 30:5).

PRAYER

Father, please help me to trust in the integrity of your word no matter my circumstances in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

What is True Worship According to the Bible?-by Bro Damola.

Ministry of the word (MOW)
THEME: What is True Worship According to the Bible?
Worshiping both in Spirit and Truth
SCRIPTURE:

The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

John 4:23-24
In John 4:23-24, Jesus spoke about worship with the Samaritan woman. Let’s try to understand what true worship is according to the Bible, and how you can apply it to your own relationship with God:
1. True worship requires our spirit.
“. . . true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit . . .” Does this mean our spirit, or God’s Holy Spirit? Actually, it’s both! Worship is meant to include our whole self. This is why the Lord commanded Israel in Deuteronomy 6:5, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” Both publicly and privately, we must not just go through the motions of worship, but be fully involved with our heart and soul – our inner selves.
2. True worship requires to worship in the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:19-20 tells us, “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.” When we are filled with God’s Spirit, a natural result is heartfelt worship – singing to God, and talking about Him to others.
3. We need to worship in Truth.
What is the truth? A better question is, who is the truth? The answer is Jesus: “Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)
Jesus also said, “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32). The more we know Jesus, who is the truth, the more we will be able to worship in truth. We get to know Jesus through prayer (we talk to Him) and His word (He speaks to us).
When you worship God in a church or anywhere else, ask the Lord to help you “Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth” (Colossians 3:2). He will help you to worship him with your whole heart, and not just go through the motions. The Lord will be glorified, and your faith will grow, and others will hear about Him.
Prayer
Father, Please help me understand how to worship You in spirit and in truth.
