Theme: Learn to Avoid Frustration in the Church.
Memory Verse:

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3)
Beloved

In Christ, we give God glory, honour and adoration for a new week of GRACE. This week, our Lord and Saviour wants His children to have more understanding of the basis for fellowship and to reduce feelings of frustration in the church.
In the course of my life, work and spiritual activities , this writer has met many children of God, who have expressed frustration with the church. The truth is that many Christians lack understanding of why they ‘go to church’. True, the Word counsel true believers to fellowship: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”(Hebrews 10:25).

Please, note the counsel of apostle Paul on ‘exhorting one another’ in the above text.
Recently, I went to assess an elderly lady in her late 80s at her home address (UK), and we were discussing the positive activities she occupies herself with during the day, normally termed Activities of Daily Living (ADL). We discussed how she spends each day from Monday. When she got to Sunday, she said: ‘I used to go to church on Sundays, I stopped because I fell out with the pastor’. We then talked through this with regard to how to reduce frustration in the church. Also, more recently, I was discussing with a fairly new spiritual son, resident in Nigeria, and he opened up to me. He told me he felt very relieved by the questions I was asking him, and how I was using the pure word of God to explain things to him. He confided in me that for a while, he has been reluctant to ‘go to church ‘, because he felt the pastor does not care , rather ‘too busy with the church ‘. Another, person told me he sees going to church as an obligation and would feel guilty if he did not go.
The big questions for every child of God therefore should be: Why do I have to go to church? Do I go to church for God? Do I go to church for myself? Do I go to church for the pastor? Do I go to church so that my neighbours and friends will know that I belong to one and perhaps, holds a high position? The answer is the word of God:

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17).
The word of God in comparing the Berean Christians with the Thessalonians has this to say: “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so ” (Acts 17:11). Thank God for the Christians in Berea, they were noble in character because each time they attended church, they will go back home to ‘search’ their bible to check if the message the pastor preached is in line with the word of God. I often wonder how many Christians do this now a days.
Brethren, do NOT focus on your pastor or the ‘men of God’ when you go to church, rather focus your mind on the word of God. Do not only go to church to RECEIVE; also have the mindset to GIVE. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus Himself: ” it is more blessed to give than to receive”(Acts 20:35).
We encourage everyone reading this message to learn to read and study the Bible regularly so as to be increasingly independently spiritually. Keep your focus and affection on things ABOVE(Col 3:2). Your pastor is a human being like you; he or she too needs your daily prayers. Do not be over dependent on him or her.
Also, we encourage everyone NOT to stop fellowship for any reason. Fellowship does not necessarily mean large group. No matter how small you think you are, God can actually use you to help your pastor if you are RICH in the word of God. God used Naaman’s maid to help captain Naaman in 2Kings 5. It is good to note that the present church is becoming a lot more liberal. Only yesterday, the 21 May 16, we heard that the Church of Scotland has voted to approve their clergy to have the opportunity to be in same sex marriage . You have free WILL and you are at liberty to choose which Church you belong. In my country of birth, Nigeria, no one can ever say there is paucity of churches! Please, be careful where you fellowship. Be careful who lays hand on your head.
To avoid frustration in the church, learn to keep your thoughts and mind focused on the word of God. Take your focus away from your challenges. Take your focus away from the weaknesses of your pastor. Take your focus away from people: “Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD” (Jeremiah 17:5).
Bless the LORD at all times! Call on Him and He will answer you and show you great and mighty things.
To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). However, the first thing you must desire greatly is total spiritual freedom through the truth in the word of God ( John 8:32)
Prayer: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace to avoid frustration as you keep your thoughts and mind focused on the Word in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

The Surrendered Life- by Bro Sunny James Ani.

MOW-TS
Theme: The Surrendered Life.

Surrendering is an unpopular word, disliked almost as much as the word submission. Or yielding to a stronger opponent (Romans 6:13). It also means sacrificing our lives or suffering in order to change what needs to be changed. God often calls surrenderred people to do battle on his behalf. It’s best demonstrated in total obedience. When we say “yes, Lord” to whatever he asks of us.

The supreme example of self-surrendering was demonstrated by Jesus while on earth. The night before his crucifixion, Jesus surrendered himself to God’s plan. He prayed, “Father, everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me . Yet I want your will, not mine” (Luke 22:42).
For this new month, I pray for the grace of God for us and entire family of MOW to continue to have the mind of his Son, Jesus Christ. In doing his will. IJN. Amen.

Happy new month dear daddy.

Life on Earth is a Test-by Bro Sunny James Ani.

MOW-TS
Theme: Life on Earth Is a Test
“And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham…..”(Genesis 22:1-13).
This life metaphor is seen in stories throughout the Bible. God continually tests people’s character, faith, obedience, love, integrity, and loyalty. Words like trials, temptations, refining, and testing occur more than 200 times in the Bible.

God tested Abraham by asking him to offer his son Isaac. God tested Jacob when he had to work extra years to earn Rachel as his wife. Adam and Eve failed their test in the garden of Eden. But the Bible also gives us many examples of people who passed a great test, such as Joseph, Esther and Daniel.
For this new month, I pray for the grace of God for us and entire family of MOW to be victorious in any test that come to our, IJN. Amen.

Perfection is the Nature of the true God.

Theme: Perfection is the Nature of the true God.
Memory Verse: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matt 5:48).
Beloved
We thank God in Christ for ushering us victoriously into the month of perfection . Perfection is the true essence of our God. His eyes are too pure to behold iniquities. His grace is all we need to live a victorious life in an evil generation.
According to our memory verse, Jesus declares that God expects all His children to be perfect. Indeed when God called Abraham, the first commandment giving to him was to walk in perfection with God: “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect” (Gen 17:1).
In the body of Christ today (the Church), I have been opportune to interact fairly regularly with Christian brothers and sisters, who think, talk and behave as if perfection is not a reality. Many will readily quote the saying: “To err is human”. However, this is not written anywhere in the Bible . God will not ask his children to be perfect if perfection is impossibility with man. God will not ask his children to be holy if holiness is not possible with man (Lev 11:44). Perfection is linked to holiness. Apostle Peter reiterated it a few times: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1Peter 1:15-16).
What is perfection?
Perfection can be explained as a state of completeness and flawlessness. Perfection is a state of excellence. A state of purity, without mistake, error or fault. In other words, there should be no single fault, error or mistake in what is being examined. No wonder the blessings of Deuteronomy 28: 1-14, requires diligent obedience. Apostle James puts it succinctly: For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all (James 2:10); James also enabled us to know that SIN is linked to knowledge: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” ( James 4:17).

There is a bible character called Daniel. The Scripture says when his enemies examined him, they could not find a single fault because of the excellent spirit in him, hence in their wickedness they set a trap for him, but fell into it themselves. The word of God says this of Daniel : “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” (Dan 6:3). The Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus, that dwells in every true believer is a Spirit of excellence and perfection. There is no single error, mistake or fault in Him.

Oneness with God in Christ Jesus, the Word of God, is the only authentic platform for man’s holiness and perfection on earth. Truly, no one can be holy or perfect by his own strength. Cleaving to God in oneness is very vital to attaining perfection on earth. This is God’s plan for his children. In the words of Prophet Jeremiah: “For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear” (Jeremiah 13:11).
However, oneness with God does not come without a price. The Scripture says Jesus himself learnt obedience by what he suffered, though a Son and fully God. The Word says: “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him “(Heb 5:8-9). The challenges you go through in life are what God uses to transform you if you maintain the right focus, and faint not. God uses your life challenges to bring you to perfection.
Jesus enjoyed absolute oneness with his Father. He was able to say: ” I and my Father are one” (John 10:30). Please note that, oneness does not necessarily connote equality, but POWER (this is a very common error of thinking even by big title holders in the Church). In the same book of John, in humility, Jesus was able to add: “for my Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). If Jesus was one with his Father, we can also be one with God the Father through Christ Jesus. This is a glorious oneness that Jesus extended to all true believers out of love. He says: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” (John 17:22-23). Thus, man’s perfection is derivable from his oneness with a pure and holy God. Man on his own strength can never be perfect or holy.

Beloved, as you cleave to Him this month of perfection in a quality relationship, praise, worship and meditation on his words, may He arise for you in Jesus precious name. Amen!
Please ensure you walk with Him in righteousness, holiness and purity in the words of God. His name is Holy! He is the only spiritual ally you can trust hundred percent! Diligent practice of the words of God brings holiness, the exact nature of God. He does not compromise on holiness. The Word says: “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” (Hab 1:13)

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). However, the first thing you must desire greatly is total spiritual freedom through the truth in the word of God ( John 8:32).

Prayer: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace of perfection in Jesus mighty name. Amen
