Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse:
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience” (James 1:2-3).

Dearly Beloved

Happy and blessed new week in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It might appear paradoxical that one will be rejoicing when faced with trials, problems and challenges. However, this is exactly what Saint James is asking us to do, if we are the true children of the living God.

As per our memory verses, life trials and challenges are ways that our loving Father uses to train, refine, strengthen and promote us.

The Bible tells us that while on earth, JESUS Himself learned a lot through His trials and tribulations. Hear what Apostle Paul says about Jesus:

“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him”(Hebrews 5:8-9).

Any body reading about the life events of Apostle Paul will appreciate that he went through many trials and challenges, yet he called them “light affliction”. Hear him:

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”( 2 Cor 4:17).

Unfortunately, many believers learn to complain, grumble and murmur easily when they are faced with challenges, instead of learning to use such opportunities to praise God. They are ignorant of the truth that as they have spoken, so God will do for them( Num 14:28). Life is about wisdom. In the course of my spiritual works, I have counselled believers who are having difficulty sleeping well at night. I remember explaining to them that anytime they are unable to sleep at night, it might be God is waking them up to relate to Him! They should try spiritual meditation and prayerfully reading the word of God and their sleep will be restored because God gives sleep to those he loves( Psalm 127:2).

I may not know the exact nature of your challenges, but you are serving the All Sufficient God. God that is more than enough. However, you have to relate to Him with sincerity, transparency, humility, gratitude and righteousness. The Word says at the mention of the name Jesus, every knew should bow ( Phil 2:9-10). Every problem, discomfort, disease fizzle away at the name of Jesus, once you are on the right standing with Him.

To grow spiritually entails daily meditating in the word of God( Joshua 1:8).

Word for Today: Let us pay more attention to our spiritual health.

Ministry of the Word(MOW): True Spirituality (TS).

Dearly Beloved
Happy Sunday to the family of our great God in Christ Jesus.

Henceforth, pay more attention to your spiritual health. Of the three levels of health: physical, mental and spiritual. Of these three, spiritual health is often the most ignored unfortunately; this is largely due to ignorance.

Jesus speaking, revealed:
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” ( John 6:63).

The words of God are spirit and they are life. God’s plan for us is to prosper physically, mentally and spiritually in accordance with His Word:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” ( 3John 2).

Remember, the spiritual controls the physical and mental. Please, pay more attention to your spiritual health henceforth.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” ( Revelation 22:21).

Stay CONNECTED to Jesus, the Word; He was with God in the beginning; He is the Way, the Truth and Life.

Happy weekend to the family of our great God in Christ Jesus.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you “ (Philippians 4:8-9). AMEN.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” ( Philippians 4:23).

Covenant Keeping God-by pastor Raphael.

*MIND OF GOD (MOG)*

Topic: Covenant Keeping God – By Pastor Raphael
Text: Deuteronomy 7:9

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” (Deuteronomy 7:9 KJV)

A covenant is an agreement between a higher being and a lesser being with a seal of blood; in the covenant, the higher being promises the lesser being, and there is a demand of obligation from the lesser being. There are many covenants in the Bible: Adamic covenant, Abrahamic covenant, Mosaic covenant, etc.

There could also be covenants between lesser beings with the invocation of a deity. An example is the covenant between David and Jonathan (1 Samuel 20:16).

The opening scripture said we should know that God is a faithful God, He does not break His covenant, He is merciful to those who love Him, and His commandments go beyond a thousand generations. It presupposes that some children of God lack detailed knowledge about God. How well you know God determines how far you will go with Him and the blessings you will receive from Him.

Dear beloved, how well do you know the almighty God? What covenant do you have with Him?

In the New Testament, Christians have a covenant with Jesus Christ, and this is sealed by his blood; therefore, He will not leave us nor forsake us. Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer
