Word for Today: “…for now I know that thou fearest God…”

Word for Today:

” …for now I know that thou fearest God…”

Memory Verse

“And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me” ( Genesis 22:12)

Dearly Beloved

In quite a few places in the bible, the word of God says : the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom , as in: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” ( Proverbs 9:10).

Abraham, our father waited for so long to have Isaac, yet he was very willing to sacrifice Isaac to God. Abraham had every reason to have argued with God. Isaac, himself shocked me to my bone, he never resisted when he was bound (Genesis 22: 9-10)! Unbelievable! Note that God did not respond by saying: now I know that you love God or now I know that you obey God, which seem appropriate, but God said as per our memory verse, now I know that you fear God.

How much do you fear this God in Christ Jesus? Do you know that God is a consuming FIRE?-Hebrews 12:29. If you sufficiently fear God, there are many things you will never want to do or fail to do . Being sufficiently God fearing should lead you to total obedience, submissiveness and love. No wonder, the word of God says the fear of God is the very beginning of wisdom. Do you want to be wise? Then begin to fear God by obeying HIM completely.

Yes,

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever” (Psalm 111:10).

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction” ( Proverbs 1:7).

JESUS is the best example of one person who was totally God fearing while on earth .

Stay connected with Jesus Christ, the Word. Be God fearing. It’s well with you in Jesus name. Amen

Prayer

Father, please give us the grace to be sufficiently God fearing in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Word for Today: I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever.

Word for Today:

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever.

Dearly Beloved

This is the day the LORD has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it ( Psalm 118:24).

Beloved, someone woke you up from your sleep this morning. Someone, protected you and secured when you were soundly asleep and helpless all night. Please, join me to Praise HIM. The Holy One of Israel; magnify Him; the one who has never lost a battle; the King of kings and the Lord of lords; the Lord strong and mighty; the Lord mighty in battle; the only faithful God. Thank you JESUS!

Yes, I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever and ever!

How excellent is the name of the Lord! Praise JESUS! Hallelujah!

“O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:1-9)

Please, also meditate on Psalm 136.

Stay connected with Jesus Christ, the Word. It’s well with you in Jesus name. Amen

Thank you Jesus ! Thank you Jesus!

You alone are worthy to be adored. You alone are worthy to be worshipped. Blessed be your Holy Name.

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus” (Galatians 6:17).

Dearly Beloved

Blessed new month of August. Your month of NEW BEGINNING.

In words of Apostle Paul:

“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ” (Philippians 3:7-8)

Everywhere you go , every situation you find yourself, there is always an opportunity to market or ‘showcase’ Jesus Christ. I am often amazed that many Christians are not comfortable with testifying about Jesus with others, for what ever reasons. Many Christians are not honouring or promoting Jesus Christ in thoughts, words and actions.

After Apostle Paul found Jesus through a dramatic circumstance on his way to Damascus in Acts Chapter 9, he considered everything else he had  as useless . Many Christians are not truly married to Jesus; they are only merely befriending Him.

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour is God the Son, within the Holy Trinity. He was with God the Father, in the beginning ( John 1:1); he became flesh ( John 1:14), in order to reveal the true nature of God to man. He was the most spiritual and the least religious person while on earth. You can ‘showcase’ or promote Jesus anywhere you are by embracing His nature; by promoting truth, peace, compassion, openness, transparency, honesty, sincerity, loyalty, diligence, humility and love etc. You can promote Him by praying for others without ceasing. You can promote Him without verbally mentioning the name Jesus aloud. After all, they often say that actions speak louder than words. You can promote Him by radiating His glory for others to see everywhere you go.

What have you suffered for Jesus? Or, what are you ready to suffer for Christ ? What ‘marks’ can you show to others that you have been crucified with Christ? Christianity is what we do, not merely what we say. Some Christians do not feel confident to talk about the supernatural person of Jesus.

The important point is obeying the Great Commission, to minister the gospel to all nations; the starting point is to totally obey the word of God through apostle Paul:

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Col 3:16).

After Jesus Christ, Brother Paul is a man after my heart. Here is a man who was not with Jesus physically on earth, yet his intimacy with Jesus was extraordinary. No apostle who interacted with Jesus physically will deny that apostle Paul was at the top. He demonstrated an extraordinary, supernatural intimacy, passion and commitment to Jesus Christ. Hear him:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20)

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Philippians 3:21)

As for me, let no one find faults with me for the sake of Christ; rather, let it be known all over the world that nothing else is more important to me, but to know Christ the more and to increasingly experience the power in His word.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Stay connected with Jesus Christ, the Word; our Lord. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV). Let the Ministry Of the Word (Acts 6:4), be your number one priority.

Prayer Point
Dear Father, please give every reader of this message the grace to truly fall in love with you and promote you every he or she goes in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Blood of Jesus! Blood of Jesus!

Thank you JESUS for peacefully bringing us into the new month of August 2018. Blessed be your Holy Name.
