*TOPIC:* Take Control Of Your Mouth

*TEXT:* Ecclesiastes 5:2

Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2 (KJV)

The mouth is the natural opening on the face through which food passes into the body.

There is a spiritual reason why God created the mouth; He did not create the mouth only for eating, drinking, and talking. He created the mouth for us to use it to chart the course of our life: you can talk yourself up into your desired destiny or talk yourself down into undesirable destiny.

As a Christian, consider carefully what you say; control your mouth with the Word of God so that the words that come out of your mouth will be a blessing to you and to your audience, Hebrews 10:23.

Search the Word of God every day and declare them over your life and see God work to bring them to pass in your life. Be swift to listen and slow to speak. Hallelujah! Be An Overcomer!

*PRAYER*

Lord Jesus give me the grace to consider carefully your word, and to know how to control my mouth according to your word. Thank you Jesus. (Proverb 10:11)

Dearly Beloved

Wisdom is the principal thing in life. In all you are doing, seek wisdom. When God appeared to the young king Solomon, as a teenager at night and asked him to request for only ONE THING, he requested for WISDOM. God granted him wisdom plus other good things he never asked for. Please, read the story in (2Chronicles 1:7-12).

People, especially our youths should take their focus away from the ephemeral things of this world , instead keep their focus on things above. Every good thing you need shall be added unto you:

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” ( Matthew 6:33)

“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you” (John 15:14-15).

Dearly Beloved

Glory be to God that Jesus has not hidden anything from us. Every thing He heard from His Father, He made known to us.

Is Jesus your best friend? Are you a friend of Jesus Christ ? The only requirement for being a friend of Jesus is total obedience to His commands according to the master Himself.

What are these commandments? To love God with all your heart, mind, spirit and to love your neighbours as yourself (Matthew 22:36-39). As a friend of Jesus Christ, you are bound to enjoy His Presence 24 hours. Your spiritual eyes, ears, mind etc are opened to see the invisible and hear the inaudible. Nothing can by any means harm you. Jesus dying on the cross for us while we were yet sinners is an immeasurable show of love, care and compassion. Jesus noted:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” ( John 15:13).

How much time are you going to spend with the Word of God today? Make Jesus your best friend henceforth.

Stay connected to JESUS, the Word and the Truth . Be knowledgeable and wise. Be enlightened.

Become a DISCIPLE, AMBASSADOR and a MISSIONARY for Jesus Christ wherever you find yourself.

Seek humility and wisdom daily
