Word for Today: The Real Essence of Christmas.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).

Dearly Beloved,

Christians are at different levels of spirituality.

Once, a person has accepted Jesus Christ as his or her Lord & Saviour, there is a measure of the Holy Spirit of God in the person. However, it the responsibility of that person to desire more and more of the Holy Spirit daily. A person can not be too full of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit baptism signals a huge increase to the presence of the Holy Spirit in that person. One can be baptised ( also called anointing) again and again.

Giving your life to Christ is the very first step. Thereafter, other steps should follow as soon as possible, such as spiritual cleansing, sanctification, receiving a NEW HEART ( Ezekiel 36:26), receiving the gifts of the Spirit (1Corinthians 12:7-10), and finally manifesting the fruit of the Spirit , so as to impact the life of others positively.

Jesus Christ is the embodiment of the fruit of the Spirit . He is the Lord: ‘Now the Lord is that Spirit…'(2Corinthians 3:17).

Manifesting the fruit of the Spirit by everyone connected to the Lord, is the essence Christmas. There are many Christians without the concept of the fruit of the Spirit. Please, note that it’s ‘fruit of the Spirit’ and not ‘fruits of the Spirit’. You would notice that joy, peace and long suffering are all components of the fruit of the Spirit as per our memory verse. Rejoicing in long suffering is something that will be extremely difficult to the natural man, but the Holy Spirit accomplishes this in the life of a person.

We pray that in line with this season, the Almighty God will open the eyes of His children to understand the true essence of Christmas in Jesus name. Amen.

“No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us” (1John 4:12).

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love” (1John 4:8).

Stay connected to the JESUS, also called the Word . Be enlightened.

Your 2018 shall be glorious in Jesus name. Amen.

Today, the 25th Day of December 2017, we are celebrating the birth of someone who had existed with God in the beginning (John 1:1), before coming into the world. ‘And the Word was made flesh…’ (John 1:14).

Brethren, whether anybody likes it or not, JESUS is celebrated today the world over,  but not only today but for ever and ever. Whether we like it or not, events of this world is named after him; whether anyone likes it or not, the year 2017 is ending soon and the year of our Lord Jesus, 2018, AD, is round the corner. The name Jesus means SAVIOUR. The name is an embodiment of love, peace, joy, hope, goodness, kindness, compassion, power etc.

The prophecy that came before His birth has this to say:

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:23).

Please, do not be ignorant of false doctrine being circulated that Christmas should not be celebrated as no one knows the exact day Jesus was born. The truth remains that heaven and earth have set aside the 25th Day of December to celebrate the life of someone who was and still is the greatest emancipator of mankind . Even non believers are led to celebrate the birth of this King of kings, even if ignorantly.

Beloved, let’s celebrate the birth of the LIGHT of the world together:

O come let us adore Him;

Christ the Lord!

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).

Dearly Beloved

The Word ( Jesus), being made flesh was not without prophecy. Years, before Mary was conceived of the Holy Spirit, God had revealed it to his prophet.

God is a Spirit. Everything about God in Christ is to do with the Spirit. Unfortunately, many try to reduce the things of God to mere physical, mental or academic exercises. Only few people understands the spirituality of Christmas. There is something spiritual about Christmas that needs to be understood and appreciated.

When the good Lord called me into the ministry in 2008, and I began to write spiritual messages, some people saw it as a mere mental exercise. As simple as my spiritual messages may appear, anyone who has been following my messages closely since 2008, should attest that they are not mere mental work but the work of the Holy Spirit.

Don’t be stubborn this season. Open your heart to JESUS and to the Holy Spirit. Remember king Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel. How he was tamed by his life experiences to acknowledge and appreciate the the living God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6)

Jesus is the reason for the season.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” ( John 3:16).

Let’s Praise God for the Word.

Memory Verse

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God” (John 1:1-2).

Dearly Beloved

We thank God for the Word.

Many people lack understanding of the Word , both within the body of Christ and outside the body of Christ.

The Word is a mystery. However, we can enhance our understanding of the Word if we spend time with HIM. Our memory verse says ‘the Word was with God, and the Word was God’. How can this be? The Word was with God, suggest two entities, whereas the Word was God suggest one. Please, meditate on this. Jesus Christ is the Word. The Word is a Spirit being, the Lord. Same apostle John revealed further:

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

Just as the Word was made flesh this season, everyone who is truly born again is made the ‘word’ , a glorious spirit being. This is the mystery of Christianity. God made His first begotten Son, the Word, a Spirit being to come in the flesh this season, so that HE will have many other sons, ‘the words of God’.

Jesus is the reason for the season.

May you discover the purpose of your existence this season in Jesus name. Amen.
