“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” ( Jeremiah 32:27).

Dearly Beloved

In Christ Jesus, God is absolutely in control of the universe. Nothing is too hard for God to do. If you are fully CONNECTED to God, then whatever you bind on earth is automatically bound in heaven ( Matthew 18:18).

Our God made the heaven and the earth by His great power. Nothing is impossible with Him. There is no challenge or problems that you are having that is beyond God:

“Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee” (Jeremiah 32:17).

Lack of understanding of righteousness often make people to think that God is far away or that God has refused to intervene in their issues. Without the word of God to guide, direct and expose our errors, a life of righteousness will be impossible. Righteousness is linked to our faith, understanding, victory and hope:

“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee” (Isaiah 54:14).

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Dear Father, please let your word come alive in our lives in Jesus name. Amen. Daddy, please help us to have increasingly understanding of the power in your word in Jesus mighty Name. Amen.

Word for Today: God is fully in charge of Everything.

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” ( Isaiah 45:7)

Beloved

Many people lack deep understanding the the full nature of God in Christ Jesus. He says I form the light and create darkness. Everything, you can ever imagine is under the control of God. All we need to do is to submit totally to His authority. At the beginning, He created light out of darkness.

The same God that give life, can kill easily if He is unduly challenged or provoked:

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand” (Deuteronomy 32:39).

His name is also the Consuming Fire ( Hebrews 12:29).

Please, let us all make every effort to be on the side of God in Christ Jesus. Our God is full of grace.

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” ( 2Corinthians 9:8)

Word for Today: The Two Basic Requirements.

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” ( John 15:7)

Dearly Beloved

The Word of God is admonishing us of two basic requirements for overflowing provision. What are these ? (1) True believers abiding in the Word (2) The word of God abiding in true believers.

What does it mean to abide? In simple terms, to abide means to obey, to accept, to comply with, to follow, to conform to, to uphold, to adhere to, to respect, to pay attention to, to act in accordance with, to agree with, to dwell with, to cleave to etc.

To some extent, I sense that it’s easier for believers to abide in Christ, meaning they accept, follow, obey, respect Jesus Christ. However, when it comes to the word of God abiding in believers, only few believers in the body of Christ may pass the test. If I may ask you, are the words of God your thoughts, beliefs, and imaginations? Does the word of God guide your life? Do you dream of the word of God? How passionate are you about the word of God? How fond are you of the word of God? Are you pre-occupied with the word of God? Are the words of God in the heart? Is your life controlled by the word of God? What are the predominant contents of the words of your mouth ? According to our Lord Jesus Christ Himself:

“…for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” ( Matthew 12:34). So the

word of your mouth is a reflection of what is in your heart and in your spirit.

Spend valuable time with the word of God. As you abide in the Word of God, let the word of God also abide in you. Then whatever you ask God shall be given to you.

Arise and shine, for your light has come.

Dearly Beloved

Be sincere in your dealing with God and man. The truth is that many people in the church are not sincere. There are many pretenders in the body of Christ. Unfortunately, not many people have spirit of discernment.

Our Lord and Saviour said it all in our memory verse: Do to others as you would like others do to you. If we can follow this single and apparently simple principle, life would be very much enjoyable as there will be much trust in relationships. A senior colleague once suggested to me that I am doing my spirituality in a simplistic way. My response was that there is nothing complex about the word of God. The gospel has been presented to man in a simple way and that may explain why many take the bible for granted. We have to receive the gospel like little children. The Word of God is very sincere and honest . Do not try to play pranks with the Word. Men of God should not present the gospel in a complicated way.

Let us be sincere with the Word. Let’s us be sincere with one another. Let us be honest with one another. Let us be submissive to one another in love:

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2Corinthian 11:3).
