Memory Verse

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).
Beloved

In Christ Jesus, God’s thoughts and plan for you is that of goodness and peace, with no evil attached ( Jeremiah 29:11). However , you need to keep focused on Him daily. The truth is that many of us get distracted very easily. At the slightest opportunity, we get angry, especially when we feel insulted. At the slightest opportunity, we confess and magnify the issue. For example, at the appearance of the slightest symptom such as a mild headache, we begin to confess and make statements like: that my migraine has come again! You have to LEARN to stop accepting bad ‘gifts’ from the devil. You have to learn the strategies of rejecting bad gifts from Satan using your mouth and the wisdom of Christ. God will only give you perfect gifts ( James 1:17).

Our God is perfectly good. God’s desire is for you to be lifted up daily. The requirement for this to happen is for you to keep your thoughts and mind focused on the word of Christ and the principles of kingdom of heaven. Remember the admonition of apostle Paul:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).

Brethren, there is no limits to your positive transformation if you choose to follow the Way. Absolutely no limit! You can be lifted higher and higher and higher by the Spirit of the LORD. It is written:

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD” (2Corinthians 3:18).

Yes, be transformed by the renewing of your mind!

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Dear Father, as many as will read this message worldwide, with genuine desire, hunger and thirst for spiritual transformation, please Daddy, release the grace to them in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Memory Verse

Beloved

There is a deceptive wind blowing in the church today with regard to the concept of SEED SOWING. It’s an evil wind. Ignorance for spiritual things and greed are at the root of it. Many ministers of God are capitalising on the ignorance of the people due to spiritual ignorance.
Truly, we reap what we sow ( Galatians 6:7). If we sow sparingly, we also reap sparingly. The book of Proverbs says:
“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty” ( Proverbs 11:24).
However, when talking of sowing, the word of God is NOT ALWAYS referring to money or material things. We can SOW our TIME into somebody in distress by being a good listener. You can sow to others life by being outstanding in areas that bring glory to God in Christ for people to see. You can sow by being outstanding in honesty, transparency, accountability, loyalty, integrity, diligence , compassion, humility etc.

The question I often ask people is this: When Jesus Christ was on earth, doing His Father’s work for about three and a half years, through the ministry committed to Him, was He gathering people and collecting money or material things from them , through whatever guise? Please, someone should answer me, and if yes, should show me the scriptures. As Christians, we are first and foremost followers of Jesus Christ! Our core value should be to do what He was doing when He was on earth. Why are we deviating? Why are we capitalising on the spiritual ignorance of our people (Hosea 4:6)?

The anointing or empowerment from God is NOT for sale . Freely you have received, freely you should give. People can do God’s word by sowing into the lives of the poor ones around them.

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again” ( Proverbs 19:17).
Be spiritually sensitive .
Be spiritually aware.
Be spiritually enlightened.

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace of spiritual understanding in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Word for Today: God is a Spirit that dwells in you.

Word for Today:God is a Spirit that dwells in you.

Improving our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21)

Beloved

We bless God for His miracles, signs and power being manifested globally daily.

Believers often travel long distances to find God in Christ. The truth is , if Christ is well formed in your heart (Gal 4:19), then be sure you carry God within you.

When Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God will come, His response was: “the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). There are deep hidden meanings in the statement. The Bible says our body is the living temple of God, hence we ought to keep it holy. According to the word of God through apostle Paul: “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”(1Corinthians 6:19). He then added: “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s”(1Corinthians 6:20).

We need this God’s consciousness in our daily walk with God in Christ Jesus. Once, we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, then we have some measure of God in us depending on our faith at the time. This is why apostle John says: “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). This is why apostle Paul says: “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).This why the Psalmist said: “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82:6). I could go on and on. Once, you have received Jesus Christ (a Spirit ) into your heart and spirit, there is the need for you to grow in grace and knowledge that is in Christ Jesus, to enable Christ to be well formed in you. The plan of God is to manifest all true believers as Jesus on earth, hence apostle Paul revealed: “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19).

God is a Spirit (John 4:24). The Holy Spirit of God will not dwell in a vessel (body) that is impure. What is that ‘habit’ that you secretly hold unto, which you know very well does not glorify God in your life? You may call it any name, but if it does not bring glory to God, please drop it NOW. Is it procrastination? Is it laziness? Is it miserliness? Is it sleeping too much? Is it impure thoughts? Is it poverty of ideas? Is it doubt? Is it fear? Is it anger? or feelings of frustration etc? As a Spirit, God has ears, eyes, feelings, etc. The Holy Spirit cannot withstand imperfection, as revealed in the Word: “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity” (Habakkuk 1:13).

Finally, to optimize your work and walk with God in Christ, you need to carry that consciousness that the kingdom God is within you. His is a kingdom of power, boldness, hardwork, righteousness, transparency, integrity, care, comfort, peace, etc. God loves a humble and contrite heart:
” For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones” (Isa 57:15).

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace to be conscious of your Holy Spirit and presence in us in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Are you a true soldier for the Lord?

Word for Today:Are you a true soldier for the Lord?

Improving our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verses

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:13-18).

Beloved
Today ‘s message has been adapted from a previous message written a few years ago by an active participant in this platform. Praise God, the person is still active in the ministry and would recall this message which I believe is timely again .

The moment you give your life to Christ, you are enrolled as a soldier in God’s army. You put on uniform from that hour and are given weapons to go along. Your weapons of war and whole armour are listed in Ephesians 6:13-18. Just as the earthly army is a place of discipline and toughness, Christianity is a call to the life of spiritual discipline; it’s a life of spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:12) and spiritual violence (Matthew 11:12).

Jesus Christ is our commanding officer and your primary focus should be to please the Lord and do whatever he wants you to do. The point I am making is that it may not always be convenient to please the Word: “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier” (2Timothy 2:4).

It takes your personal determination to take certain drastic steps in order to follow the path that God has called you to follow. It may cost you a dear friend, a close relative, a valued investment or sometimes even tears and brokenness. This is the reason why the WORD encourages us to endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Tim 2:3).

While hardship basically refers to lack and want, hardness means toughness. God is encouraging us to be tough spiritually. This means stay on course even though you are swayed by the boisterous waves of life; whatever happens, stick with the word of God and let His word be your final answer. Just like the soldier is always at the disposal of his commanding officer, when it is time for war, he doesn’t make excuses; he operates a regimented lifestyle, because he knows whose authority he obeys. You are an active soldier in the Lord’s army, a soldier on duty; therefore don’t get encumbered with trivial affairs of life.
Look on Jesus and concentrate on doing his will and pleasing him. Let others be challenged by your faith and godly lifestyle. Keep your uniform on and stand firm in faith, train yourself to rejoice in long suffering (Galatians 5:22).
Stay on God’s word until you get the right response as a good soldier in God’s army.

May the Holy Ghost grant you understanding in Jesus name, and may He continually guide you through His word.

Dear Father, please help us to be effective as soldiers of the cross in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
