Word for Today: Spiritual warfare requires knowledge

Word for Today:

Spiritual warfare requires knowledge .

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” (1Tim 1:18).

Beloved

Whether you believe me or not, life is a battle. Everyone fights the various battles of life, whether you believe in God or not.
Unfortunately, some believers are under the impression that once you have given your life to Christ, they don’t need to do anything. Jesus will do everything. This is absolute spiritual ignorance. In life, you sow before you reap. The Scripture says: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge(Hosea 4:6).
In our memory verse above, apostle Paul charged his spiritual son, Timothy, to war a good warfare. The Word says Jesus came to earth to destroy the works of the devil (1John 3:8).
As spiritual Christians, let us go about our duties daily with the consciousness of the fact we are at war at all times-at our places of work, in our families, in our ministries, within our communities etc. We must also be conscious of the fact the war we are called to fight is spiritual, not physical. “For we wrestles not against flesh and blood” (Ephesians 6:12). Hence, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal..”(2Cor 10:4).
Every true believer is a soldier of the cross. Jesus is the Captain of the army of heaven. He rides in a white horse. His names include: Truth, Faithful Righteousness (Rev 19:11). and the Word of God (verse 13). He wages war with sword from his mouth: And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword (Rev 19:15).

The weapons of our warfare are the words of our mouth!
Brethren, we are at war. But it is a spiritual war. It is a war between good and evil. It is a war between right and wrong. It is a war between light and darkness. It is a war between perfection and imperfection. It is a war against ignorance and sin. It is a war against all forms of captivity and oppressions. It is a war against poverty. It is a war against sicknesses and diseases. It is a war against accident. It is a war against untimely death. It is a war against seduction and manipulation. It is a war against anxiety, fear, doubt, and unbelief. It is a war against unfaithfulness and insincerity. It is a war against laziness and idleness. It is a war against pretence and hypocrisy. It is a war against coldness and lukewarmness. It is a war against falsehood, gossiping, hatred, unforgiveness and lies. It is a war against wickedness, in all forms. It is a war against Satan, devils, demons and their cohorts. It is a war in defense of truth, openness, righteousness, honesty, integrity, transparency, divine health etc. Our Captain, Jesus Christ, is in charge. Let us follow his examples. His name is Righteousness! His name is Truth. His name is Faithful.

He says: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matt 5:48)

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace to war a good warfare against all forms of darkness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Let us Pay Attention to Jesus Christ’s Teachings.

Word for Today:Let us Pay Attention to Jesus Christ’s Teachings.

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered”(Heb 5:8).

Beloved

Christianity without Jesus Christ is an empty religion. He is the Word of God. He was with God in the beginning and He is God (John 1:1). He created all things for Himself (Colossians 1:16).

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life(John 14:6). He is in complete ONENESS with His Father (John 10:30).

In Him, we have oneness with the Father (John 17:21). “For in him we live, and move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28).

In the Ministry of the Word, we promote and encourage learning, knowledge and application of knowledge, both general and spiritual. Wisdom is the diligent application of knowledge. Jesus Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God (1Corinthians 1:24).
What are some of the things JESUS Christ, the Word of God has taught us ?

To love God with ALL our heart: “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Matt 22:37);

To love thy neighbour as thyself: “And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these”(Mark 12:31);

 To love our enemies: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matt 5:44);

To do to others as you want others do to you: “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” (Matt 7:12);

To give in order to be blessed: “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).

He who scatters increases: “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth” (Prov 11:24)

If our enemy is hungry, give him food: “Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head” (Rm 12:20);

 We pray that Christ be well formed in us (Gal 4:19), so that we can diligently emulate Him in our body, soul and spirit, within the Church, and outside the Church in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer

Father, please fill us with your Holy Spirit and give us the grace to pay attention to your teachings , in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: “That at the name of Jesus…”

Word for Today:

“That at the name of Jesus…”

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:9-10).

Beloved

JESUS is a name above every other name, universally. When the name Jesus is mentioned appropriately by someone in Good Standing with the name, every knee, power, force, authority, principality etc, should bow, whether in heaven, on earth, or underneath (Phil 2:10).
All true Christians have new names: sons of God (John 1:12); word of God (Rev 2:17) etc. However, these glorious names are hidden from many, until they persevere and are willing to search the scriptures and discover them. The book of Proverbs says: ‘It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter’ (Prov 25:2). God sowed Jesus, as a seed so that He will have many sons in the image and likeness of Jesus. The plan of God is for us to live like Jesus here on earth. Again, Brother Paul revealed this to us vividly in his letter to the Romans: ‘For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God’ (Romans 8:19).

Unfortunately, many born again Christians do not fully appreciate their new status in Christ Jesus. That every true believer is a son of God is a measure of tremendous amount of love from God. Hence, Brother John, writing from inspiration, says: ‘Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not’ (1John 3:1).

Brother Paul truly tapped into the anointing and power in Christ Jesus, so much that his handkerchiefs were healing the sick (Acts 19:2). He made us to understand that the kingdom of God is not merely in words but in power: ‘For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power’ (1Cor 4:20).

If you are a Christian in good standing with Jesus, everything contrary to the plan and purpose of God in your life should bow. This could range from ignorance, pride, stagnation, poverty, to illness, disease, fear, doubt and unbelief etc. Every challenge that we have, has a spirit behind it. Every spirit has knees. If every knee is not bowing to the Jesus in you, be open and honest with yourself, and carry out self-examination. Identify the hindrances and aggressively flush them out! His eyes are too pure to behold evil (Habakkuk 1:13).

 Christianity without POWER is a mere empty religion. We thank God for the fire that is currently spreading across his church.

Ignorance has kept many away from enjoying their birth right. Sincerely spend quality time daily to meditate on the word of God, and you will begin to see the difference in your life. Be totally obedient to the word of God.

Live your new name in Christ Jesus!

Do not limit God through your thoughts!

Daily make use of the power in the name of Jesus!

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace of understanding of the the power in the name of Jesus. Amen.

There is someone reading this message, may you receive the grace of increasing knowledge of the power in Christ Jesus , and to live your new name for others to see, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: There is power in expectation.

Word for Today:There is power in expectation.

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off” ( Proverbs 23:18).

Beloved

We thank God for JESUS, the power of God and the wisdom of God (1Cor 1:24). All things were created by him, and for him(Col 1:16).

Brethren, the Word says the expectations of righteousness shall not be cut off. When you wake up in the morning, what are your expectations for the day? Many people, Christians and non Christians, often wake up expecting the new day to be ordinary. Many people wake up expecting nothing for the day. If you expect nothing, you get nothing!
Every morning when you get up in the morning, do you expect a great day? Do you expect God to use you and the children His has given you for signs and wonders ( Isaiah 8:18)? Do you expect to overcome all challenges through Him who love you (Phil 4:13)? Do you expect to overcome the devil and his cohorts by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony (Revelation 12:11)? Do you expect every good and perfect gift from God ( James 1:17). Do you expect God to arise in Christ Jesus and let all His enemies be scattered (Psalm 68:1)?

Remember in life, we reap what we sow. If we sow righteousness, we reap righteousness. If we sow mercy, we reap mercy. Whether the wicked person likes it or not, the expectation of the wicked is destruction. The harvest is always greater than the seed. Brother Paul says: “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully” (2Cor 9:6).

Every day, I expect you to “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1).

In Christ Jesus, you are the son of the Most high God. The Psalmist, king David had this revelation long before Jesus was manifested on earth: “have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82:6).

Please, wake up and start every day with great expectations. Expect goodness and mercy to follow you daily. Always be grateful to God for His grace to mankind.

Thank you Jesus, the grace of God to a fallen humanity:

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men” (Titus 2:11).

Prayer

Father, please give us the grace of high & great expectations as we follow the goodness in the word of God, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.
