Memory  Verse

“The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit” ( John 3:8).

Beloved

Examine yourself. Are you truly born of the Holy Spirit? Do you fully understand what it means to be born of the Holy Spirit? Jesus, while explaining the meaning of being ‘born again’ further to Nicodemus revealed:
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” ( John 3:5).
Jesus had earlier explained:

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” ( John 3:3). A clear implication here is that one can be truly born again( he or she will SEE the kingdom of God), without being born of the Holy Spirit. Verse 5 clarifies that without being born of the Holy Spirit, no one can ENTER the kingdom of God. There is big difference between seeing something and entering . Remember the rich man’s story in Luke 16:19-25. He could see father Abraham and poor Lazarus in glory, but meanwhile, he was languishing. This story is real. I am not trying to frighten anyone. Be born of the Holy Spirit .

The bible says:
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14). It’s either you are a son of God or you are not. No wonder, there are so many fearful ‘Christians’ in the church.

The truth is that many Christians are not sensitive or conscious of the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. They are not following the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is real. The Holy Spirit is exciting, aggressive and intoxicating. He is a Spirit of compassion and love. He is the Spirit of truth and righteousness. Do not relate with Him only by speaking in tongue. Allow Him to lead, guide and direct your life.

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” ( Romans 8:16).

If the Spirit of Jesus Christ dwells in you richly, then you are a transformed spirit being.

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Dear Father, please help us to be born of the Holy Spirit and to yield to the guidance of the Spirit in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Have you received the Holy Spirit?

Word for Today:

Have you received the Holy Spirit?

Memory

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11).
Beloved

Receive ye the Holy Ghost!

The Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is leading me to tell you something about Himself. Hallelujah!

Many true believers ( Christians), are not sensitive or conscious of the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. The Holy Spirit is real. The Holy Spirit is exciting, aggressive and intoxicating. He is the Spirit of truth and righteousness.
In the Acts of the Apostle, Paul met with certain disciples of Jesus Christ and asked them if they have received the Holy Spirit, you can’t believe their response:
“He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost” (Acts 19:2).
Brethren, I am led to ask you the same question. Have you received the the Holy Spirit since you became a Christian? Some Christians I have spoken with believe you can receive the Holy Spirit only once. NO! You can receive the Holy Spirit many times. King David in the bible was anointed three times.
Beloved, you cannot have enough of the Holy Spirit. Where the Holy Spirit is at work in you , no challenge, sickness, disease, witches and wizards or demons can prosper. Nothing can defeat the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit raised up Jesus from death. With the unction of the Holy Spirit, I can speak like apostle John:
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1John 4:4)
With the Holy Spirit, we can declare:

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37).

Only Jesus Christ can baptise you with the Holy Spirit. You can never receive the Holy Spirit from someone else.
The Word says:
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” (John 16:13).

Receive ye the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Prayer

Dear Father, please fill us to overflowing with your Holy Spirit so that we can do exploits in your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Telling others about Jesus is a command.

Word for Today:

Telling others about JESUS is a command.

Memory Verse

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen” ( Matthew 28:18-20).

Beloved

Those who are not sharing the Word of God with others do NOT know what they are missing. Telling others about JESUS every day is a commandment all true believers received from the Lord Himself. In gospel according to St John, Jesus said: if you love me, obey my command.
We know from the bible that Jesus is the Word of God, and was with God in the beginning ( John 1:1). So when you ‘see’ the Word of God, you see Jesus. I often wonder why some people are concerned about the spread of other faith, when they themselves are not spreading the good news gospel.

Beloved, if you are following righteousness and telling people about Jesus, the way, the truth and the life ( John 14:6), there is no human being who can harm you. All the power and authority we need in life have been transferred to us by Jesus. However, neither Jesus nor His Father is ready or willing to compromise on righteousness (Isaiah 54:14).
As you go about your duties today, remember to share Jesus (the Word) with others by defending the integrity of Jesus; by defending the truth; by defending and promoting openness, transparency, honesty, freedom, compassion and love, based on righteousness. The more you share Jesus with others, the more free you become.

Only Jesus Christ can set you free indeed ( John 8:36).

Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for empowering us to work with you . Please, give us the grace to tell others about Jesus in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today:Rejoicing in the midst of challenges.

Word for Today:

Rejoicing in the midst of challenges.

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” ( James 1:2-4).

Beloved

This one subject that many believers would really struggle with. How do you rejoice when you are experiencing a major challenge or trauma eg the loss of a loved one? Yet, that is exactly what St James is asking us to do as believers . Believe me, this will be difficult with man; only the Holy Spirit dwelling in a man can accomplish this.
Remember Joseph in prison for crime he did not commit. Remember Daniel being thrown into the lion den following false accusations. Did you expect them to rejoice? You will notice that both joy and long suffering are together as fruit of the Spirit: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” ( Galatians 5:22-23).

Learning to rejoice and praise God in the middle of problem is a life secret that many believers need to learn . Remember when king Jehoshaphat of Judah was to be attacked by four countries . How he appointed praise singers to praise God and all his enemies turned against themselves (2Chronicles 20:21-23).
This explains why apostle Paul standing on the word of God, assured us:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” ( Romans 8:28).

There is no problems that you are having now that others have not passed through.

Have you praised God in Christ Jesus this morning?

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Father, please give me the grace to praise you no matter what I am passing through in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.
