Word for Today: The true Source of power.

Word for Today:The true Source of Power.

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8)

Beloved

There is no true source of power other than from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. In the gospel according St John, Jesus said “without me ye can do nothing ” ( John 15:5). The power you need to function: breathe, laugh, move, eat, study, live etc, is from Him.

Jesus is the grace of God to a failing humanity. He Himself was empowered by His Father while on earth to run His earthly ministry: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power…” ( Acts 10:38). The knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and strength you need to excel in life is given to us through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. However, we have to be very careful not to allow impurities to interfere with this empowerment. As we could learn from Acts 10:38, the anointing is for goodness. There is no room for evil of any form.
Unfortunately, many believers get involved in things they should not be doing, thereby draining the anointing in them. Some people even seek ‘alternative sources of power ‘ readily when they can’t easily get an answer to what they want. This is very dangerous! Every alternative source of power carries a price but the blessing of the LORD makes rich and adds no sorrow ( Proverbs 10:22)

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for empowering us to work with you and for the grace in Christ Jesus in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Seek God this month with spiritual violence.

Word for Today:

Seek God this month with spiritual violence.

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12).

Beloved

Again, I welcome you all to the month of 4th man in fire.
This month, I am appealing to everyone to be spiritually violent with the enemies, real and unreal. This month, you have to learn to hold unto God aggressively as you have never done before. You will have tell God , you will not let Him go until He has uprooted all your enemies; you will tell God you will not let Him go until He has blessed you ( Genesis 32:26).
If there are things not glorifying God in your life, your family, your church, around your environment, or your nation, do NOT keep quiet and watch. Speak the word of God against them. Everything in this world is answerable to the word of God. Ask God in Christ to uproot every plant He has not planted in your life ( Mathew 15:13).
Unfortunately, many Christians lack the sensitivity and awareness that Christianity is a spiritual warfare. Apostle Paul while Counseling his spiritual son Timothy, had this to say:

“This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare” ( 1Timothy 1:18).
This month, learn to war a good warfare with you mouth. Jesus has given you a mouth and wisdom ( Luke 21:15). Expect challenges but never be discouraged by them. Challenges are nothing but ‘light affliction’ ( 2Corinthian 4:17). In Christ God uses challenges to build up your faith. Face every challenge with the mindset of Apostle Paul who was accustomed to enduring challenges with equanimity. Hear him:

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body”( 2Corinthians 4:8-10).
Never forget certain challenges will never give way except through ‘prayer and fasting’ ( Matthew 17:21).

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace of spiritual violence this month and beyond in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: The Lord is my light and my salvation.

Memory Verses
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1-14‬ ‭KJV

Beloved

Welcome to the month of April 2017. Please, pray this month as you have never prayed before. Expect challenges but also expect the Prince of Peace ( Jesus Christ) to comfort and secure you. Remember the story of the 4th man in fire in Daniel 3:25.
Please, be prayerful.
 Enjoy a Spirit-filled month.

Prayer

Dear Father, you alone are worthy of our praise. Let the fourth man in FIRE arise for us this month in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: God alone is worthy!

Word for Today:God alone is worthy!

Ministry of the Word : True Spirituality

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” ( Revelations 4:11).

Beloved

We bless God in Christ Jesus for the last day of month of March 2017. God alone is worthy to be praised. O LORD our God, how excellent is thy name! Who is like unto thee O LORD amongst the gods? There is none holy as the LORD. This morning, the Holy Spirit directed me to these biblical songs. Please, join me to sing if you are familiar with them, starting with our memory verse.

“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!” (Psalm 8:9).

The steadfast love of God never fail.

“They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness” ( Lamentation 3:23).

“There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God” ( 1Samuel 2:2).

“Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Exodus 11:15).

“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations” (Psalm 89:1)

In Christ, God often preserves the best until the last. Today, as you sing His praises, expect the last day miracle from Him who created the heaven and earth for Himself:

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Col 1:16).

Prayer

Dear Father, you alone are worthy of our praise. Give us the grace to praise you daily in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.
