“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” ( Zechariah 4:6).

Beloved
We are who we are by the special grace of God. It’s very easy for us to be deceived into believing that our modest achievements in life are primarily as a result of our intelligence, hard work or smartness. Not at all! By His Spirit we live, and move and have our being.

If you remove God’s grace from any man, that man is less than zero. He says: “for without me ye can do nothing ” ( John 15:5).

Whether it’s the air we breathe or the water we drink or the qualifications we acquire, we need Him. Jesus Christ, also called the Word, is the grace of God to humanity. Yes, grace and truth came from Jesus ( John 1:17. Whatever you have or do not have, never forget your SOURCE. The Spirit of God dwelling in us is our source. Acknowledge Him daily:
“Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD”,

(Jeremiah 9:23-24).

Thank you Jesus, the grace of God to a fallen humanity:

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men” (Titus 2:11).

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Father, please give us the grace to be totally dependent on your Holy Spirit for everything in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

“Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? (Job 38:12-13).

Beloved

Every morning, on waking up from sleep, before you start of the day, never forget to command the morning. Learn to speak living words of life into everything around you. The air, wind, buildings, roads, vehicles, animals, all living and non living things have spiritual ears and can hear the word of the Lord, once you are connected to Him.
Brethren, do not be so busy, as to forget commanding the morning everyday. In our memory verse, the word of God was asking Job to command the morning that the wicked may be shaken out of it. Every morning, speak the word of God against diseases, sickness, fear, anxiety, accident etc. Remember, Jesus Christ spoke against the fig tree and it dried up from the root ( Mark 11:21).
Remember also that for creation to obey you, you have to work in agreement with the three things that bear witness on earth:
“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one” (1John 5:8).

Prayer

Dear Father, please, empower us mightily to command the morning daily in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Beloved

In my few years of walking with the Lord Jesus Christ, I have seen many young Christians derail ignorantly, with adverse consequences.
A Christian path is a path of righteousness. It is like a straight path! The only way to be established ( Isaiah 54:14). You must not go a little to the right or a little to the left!! According to our memory verses, after you have ‘tasted the word of God’, what else do you want. The truth is that many in the church have not taken time to eat the word of God ( Jeremiah 15:16).
Yes, beware of SIN. A man of God once said if you refuse to deal with sin in your life, then sin will deal with you. It is the cause of separation between man and God ( Isaiah 59:1-2)

Please, meditate on Matthew 3:11; Luke 6:36; sister Joan made reference to it yesterday. Also in Romans 8:11

Send the word of God to others, your life, situations etc , and watch God in action:
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” ( Psalm 107:20).

Prayer

Father, please give us the grace never to backslide in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24).

Beloved
Whatsoever work you are doing, do it heartily as to the Lord and not for men. This is the summary of our memory verses.
There is a serious challenge in the Christendom today where you see many Christians doing the work given to them with laxity, yet expecting to be rewarded. Every work we do is an opportunity given to us by God in Christ Jesus to ‘show case’ His person and nature. Some so called Christians do not only perform their work with laxity but are fraudulent at their work places. I have come to a deep understanding that Satan uses ignorance to deny many Christians of their blessings and promotion.
Some Christians even differentiate when working for themselves and when working for others. Believe you me, for every piece of work you do , the Lord is watching . Aside from the money or material benefits you may receive, there is spiritual reward for every work you do. While you are working, the Lord is always watching, looking out for diligence, sincerity, reliability, honesty, faithfulness etc. Many Christians may not realise what they are missing when they are not committed to their work . Ignorantly, some people believe ‘work of God’ is only for pastors or men of God or only when working in church buildings, especially on Sundays.

The Word says:
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” ( Ecclesiastes 9:10).

Prayer

Dear Father, please give us the grace to do every work we come across as to the Lord in Jesus mighty name. Amen
