Memory Verse 

“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you” (John 15:14-15).

Beloved 

Are you a friend of Jesus? The only requirement for being a friend of Jesus is total obedience to His commands according to the master Himself.
What are these commandments? To love God with all your heart, mind, spirit and to love your neighbours as yourself (Matthew 22:36-39). As a friend of Jesus Christ, you are bound to enjoy His Presence 24 hours. Your spiritual eyes, ears, mind etc are opened to see the invisible and hear the inaudible. Nothing can ever harm you. Jesus dying on the cross for us while we were yet sinners is an immeasurable show of love. Jesus noted:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” ( John 15:13).

How much time are going to spend with the Word of God today?

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer

Father, please give us the grace to be your close friend in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Memory Verse 

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

Beloved 

Whenever, you have an opportunity to do any work, whether paid or voluntary job, please do it heartily as to the Lord. Believe you me, whatever salary or wage you get from your employer is nothing, compared to the spiritual reward that only the Lord gives.
Many people are NOT committed to the the work given to them whenever they have an opportunity to contribute something to life. Be a builder! Do not be in the companion of destroyers. Never forget, while on earth everyone is a co-labourer with God (1Corinthians 3:9). Ignorance may not allow some people to be aware of this. That person or organisation who provided you the work is a mere agent of God. Work while you are on earth because there is no work in the grave.
Be kind, sincere, faithful, honest, transparent, diligent and passionate about whatever ever task you are opportune to undertake, and you will be amazed how much God will reward you:
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ” (Col 3:23-24).

Memory Verse 

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works” (2Timothy 3:16-17).

Beloved 

The word of God (scripture) has been given to man to teach man, reproof man (to point out our errors), instruct man and guide man on the way of righteousness. The more you pay attention to the instructions in the word of God the more you can follow the righteousness in the word of God.
Unfortunately, there are many ministers of the scripture who do not minister the pure, undiluted word of Christ, hence many people in church are missing the point of ‘Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God’ (1Corinthians 1:24). Follow the word of God hundred percent and you can never regret your life.

Right from the beginning, the good Lord has made His instructions available to us through His word because He knows that we can only be free and established in life through righteousness:
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee” (Isaiah 54:14).

Memory Verse 

“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:103-105).

Beloved 

Is the word of God sweet in your mouth? Is the word of God a light to your path? If you spend sufficient time with the word of God, you will come to appreciate the greatness of the word of God.
Many people (both Christians and non Christians), go through life with ignorance of the light in the word of God. Spiritually speaking, without the word of God, you will be walking in darkness while on earth.
The knowledge, wisdom, peace, joy and love you need in love are all loaded in the word of God.
Spend time with Him and you will have joy in your heart:
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts” (Jeremiah 15:16).
