The Word (71)-Requirements for increasing Anointing.

The Word (71)-Requirements for increasing Anointing.

“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” (Hebrews 1:9).

Beloved

It is written: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” (Acts 1:8). Anointing is the empowerment to do work. Power could come from the Holy Spirit(divine anointing) or from Satan (demonic anointing). Acts 1:8 is an assurance from the Almighty God that all true sons of God shall be divinely empowered. Jesus Himself needed to be empowered while on earth ( Acts 10:38). Our memory verse highlights the basic requirements for such empowerment above our peers.
If you require increasing anointing, you must love righteousness and hate iniquity; in other words, you must hate sin and live holy. You cannot live holy without sanctification by the truth in the word of God(John 17:17). Cry to God in Christ to sanctify you from today as you meditate on His word.

If you find it difficult to share the word of God, it’s because you need more anointing. If you are unable to pray without ceasing, it’s because you need more anointing. If you are unable to speak out when things are done wrongly, it’s because you need more anointing. Many people reveal the attitude of ‘no concern me’ or ‘what is my business’? , when they see wrong things going on around them. Such people may love righteousness, but certainly do not hate iniquity. If you hate iniquity, you cannot be comfortable in the midst of sin.
Righteousness is vital to freedom & anointing. It’s written:
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee” (Isaiah 54:14).

PRAYER

Father, please make me free indeed and give me the grace to love righteousness and hate iniquity in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (70)- You can be free indeed!

The Word (70)-You can be free indeed!

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).

Beloved

The Word of God says “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). The big question is: what is the truth? Someone has defined the truth as ‘that which is’. The truth is that many people confuse ‘truth’ and ‘fact’; ‘that which is’, could merely represent a fact and not necessarily the truth. The truth is only found in the word of God. The truth sanctifies man (John 17:17). Embracing the truth makes man free indeed. The fact is that many people in the body of Christ (the church) are not free indeed. I stand to be corrected.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” ( John 14:6).
The truth is a body of knowledge , hence Jesus Christ is a body of knowledge. Many people in the body of Christ have not yet ‘learnt Christ’. Freedom indeed has to do with knowing Christ, not a mere religious slogan.
Righteousness is very key to this knowledge, regarding freedom indeed. The Word says:
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee” (Isaiah 54:14).

PRAYER

Father, please make me free indeed through the truth in your Word in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (69)-Be conscious of your words.

MOW-True Spirituality

Word for Today

The Word (69)-Be conscious of your words.

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers” (Ephesians 4:29).

Beloved

Always be sensitive to the word that comes out of your mouth. The words you speak is a reflection of your thoughts. There are some brothers and sisters in the body of Christ who are so used to talking that they often talk before they think. Let the word you speak be edifying to others.
The Word desires that you retrain your thoughts and align them to His. His thoughts are higher than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9).
What you focus your mind and thoughts predominantly tend to shape your personality. The Word is admonishing you to focus your thoughts only on GOOD things:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Phil 4:8).

PRAYER

Father, please help me to refine & purify my words in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (68)-let the Word be your Counselor.

MOW-True Spirituality

Word for Today

The Word (68)-let the Word be your counsellor.

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14)
Beloved

Be very care where you take your counsel from. Many people get counsel from different sources such as newspapers, television, radio as well as counsellors without the Word.
In this new month of double grace, let the Word provide all the counsel you need. Heaven & earth shall pass away, but the word of God shall never pass away.
Henceforth, be totally dependent on the Word. There is a word in the Word for every situation your are facing:
“They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever” (Psalm 125:1-2).

PRAYER

Father, please help me to take counsel only from your Word in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
