Word for Today

The Word (41)-With the Word, it’s All or None.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

Beloved 

If you have chosen the truth (Jesus), stay with the light in the truth. If you prefer darkness, stay in darkness. There should be no mixing. There are many in the church of Christ shouting Lord, Lord, but their hearts are far from the Lord.
Our Lord Himself speaking in the book of revelation, declares:
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16)
If you are for the Lord, be crucified with Him. Do no longer stand on the fence. Joshua in his farewell speech to the children of Israel asked them to choose one master to serve:
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15).
As for me and those who are faithful within the MOW family, we will serve the true God in Christ Jesus with integrity. Please, emulate apostle Paul and be crucified with Christ daily.

PRAYER

Father, please give me the grace to crucify every part of me with you in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

The Word (40)-Be the Word for others to READ.

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2Corinthians 3:2-3).

Beloved 

Do you KNOW that depending on the way you live your life, you can be the message, gospel and the bible for others to read and emulate? As most people know, children often learn by imitation and modelling rather than reading and analysis of information. 
Without carrying a big bible and standing on the pulpit to verbally preach the gospel, what can others learn from you? I have said it many times, a dump person can preach CHRIST effectively through actions if he or she chooses to do so. Let people learn from your words and actions.
Many people spend a lot of time talking, without a single word of God being mentioned. Speak the Word only and miracles will begin to happen.
Henceforth, be careful with your words. The Word says:
“In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise” ( Proverbs 10:19).

PRAYER

Father, please give me the grace to live a life of truth and integrity for others to emulate in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Word for Today

The Word (39)-the Word of God is the head of the Church .

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18)

Beloved 

The Word of God is the head of the church the world over. In the world today, there is so much ignorance regarding the spiritual meaning of church. The church is NOT the building, though building is important to the body of Christ. 
The church of our Lord Jesus Christ are all those who are truly born again taken together. When our Lord and Saviour first used the word church, it was with reference to the person of Peter:

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” ( Matthew 16:18).

Ignorance has made many Christians to reduce the Church of Jesus Christ to the level of ordinary building. You often hear worshippers say ‘I am going to church’.

As someone has rightly said, if you are born again, you CAN NEVER go to yourself! If you are truly born again, you are part and parcel of the body of Christ (the church) at all times:
“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular” (1Corinthians 12:27).
We need this understanding to remain connected to the Word of God at all times, not only on Sundays, as most Christians tend to do. In Christ, every day is holy.

Receive the grace of understanding to be connected to the Word of God at all times in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Word for Today

The Word (38)-the Word of God is the Word of Life.

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life” (1John 1:1)

Beloved 

The Word of God is the Word of life. Life is the opposite of death. Once you are born again in Christ Jesus, you are a son of God by His grace. However, it is your responsibility to align your thoughts and words with the Word of God. 
In the contemporary church, many are born again, but they are ignorant of the Word of Life. By their words you know them. The word you speak out is a signal to the angelic world, whether good or bad. It is your responsibility to speak the word of life and live, otherwise, you negate your born again status.

Having accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, choose life and live:
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Receive the grace of Life in the Word of God in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
