What can others Emulate from you?

Theme: What can others Emulate from you?

Memory Verse:

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity”( 1Tim 4:12)

Beloved

A true Christian life is a life of integrity and example for others to emulate. Humility and meekness are vital for us to be guided in the right direction. The Word says: “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way”(Psalm 25:9).
Humility is the basis for our exaltation. The Word says, Jesus was exalted by the Father on account of his humility, and given a name above every other name, that when the name JESUS is appropriately mentioned, every knee, power, force, authority etc, whether in heaven, on earth, underneath the end, should bow to the glory of his holy name (Phil 2: 9-10).

Beloved, to what extent can others see the glory of God in Christ Jesus in you? The bible says Christ in you is your hope of glory (Col 1:27). The Word says as true believers, we are the epistle that people should read:

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men” (2Cor 3:2).
“Epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2Cor 3:3).

Our memory verse above says we should be an example to others in: Word, Conversation, Charity, Spirit, Faith, and Purity. We pray that God gives us increasing daily understanding in this area. Going into details of each of these words would have been edifying but it’s better to keep the message as brief as possible.
In my spirituality journey thus far, I have discovered that out of ignorant, many Christians significantly limit their progress in life through their thoughts, words and actions, ignoring what the Scripture says:

 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Prov 18:21).
“For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned

” (Matt 12:37).

The word of God is the Word of Life (1John1:1). When you wake up every morning by the grace of God, speak the living word of God to your life and the lives of others. Remember the word of God such as:
“Greater is he that is in you , than he that is in the world” (1John 4:4);
“Christ in you , the hope of glory (Col 1:27);
“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you ” (Jam 4:7);
“…All things work together for good to them that love God…” (Romans 8:28);
” I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me” (Phil 4:13) etc.
If you do these declaration every morning, and you are in Right Standing with God in Christ, you are sending a serious warning to the devil and his cohorts that you are untouchable.

The commandment we receive as true born again sons of God is to bless and curse not. Brother Paul captured this clearly in his letter to the Romans: “Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not” (Romans 12:14). We can not be children of God, yet we are thinking evil, speaking evil, acting evil, wishing others bad etc. Jesus says “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh” (Matt 12:34). This is where spiritual understanding is important. We are to bless and curse not

Ignorance has kept many away from enjoying their birth right.
Sincerely spend quality time daily to meditate on the word of God, and you will begin to see the difference in your life. Be totally obedient to the word of God. Live your new name! Do not limit God working in you through your thoughts.

My daily prayer is that Christ is well formed in your heart (Gal 4:19). The kingdom of God is within you (Luk 17: 21).

 Have a Spirit-filled week and for the rest of the year.

 To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). However, the first thing you must desire greatly is total spiritual freedom through the truth in the word of God ( John 8:32, 36).

Prayer: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace to be an example for others to emulate in Jesus mighty name. Amen

The Word (9)-the Word of God is the only source of true WEALTH.

Word for Today

The Word (9)-the Word of God is the only source of true WEALTH.

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” (2Corinthians 8:9).

Beloved

Many people struggle and struggle in life, and often wonder why they are not ‘making it’. Intimacy with the Word is the only source of true riches, without sorrow ( Proverbs 10:22).
Embrace the word of God henceforth, and you will never lack in anything. God gives us power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Grace & peace be multiplied to you in Jesus mighty name. Amen (2Peter 1:2).

The Word(8)-God can speak His word through you.

The Word (8)-God can speak His word through you.
“The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned” (Isaiah 50:4)
Beloved

With increasing spiritual understanding and keying into the word of God, you can learn to speak the word of God to yourself, others and situations around you and they must obey the Word. In Christ, God has given you the tongue of the learned. The same Holy Spirit that was in Jesus Christ is in you.
Speak the word only and many who are weary will be healed. ( Matthew 8:8).

Grace & peace be multiplied to you in Jesus mighty name. Amen (2Peter 1:2).

WHO IS JESUS TO You?-by Rev A AKPAN.

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”. (Matt. 16:15).
Jesus once confronted his disciples with a very crucial question meant to test their understanding of who he really was. That was necessary because many people may just be following him without a proper knowledge of who he really is. People have different knowledge of him. He means different thing to different people. But there’s a central truth about his person that he expects every of his followers to know.
The Bible says “he asked his disciples, who do people say the Son of man is?.” They all gave different answers, some say he is John the Baptist, others Elijah, and still others said he was Jeremiah, or one of the prophets (Matt. 16:13-14).
What a confusion! Isn’t it funny or rather pitiable that people who were so close to him, who had followed him for years were confused about his true identity? One is not surprised then, that even today, not many who claim to know Jesus actually know him in the true sense of it. It’s surprising that there are many who carry big Bibles, attend church regularly, participate religiously in Christian activities, but don’t have revelational knowledge of Jesus. (My eyes have seen a lot!) No wonder they can be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. “Until we all reach unity of faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants tossed back and forth by the waves blown here and there by every wind of teaching and the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming” (Eph. 4:13-14).
There’s a central truth about the identity of Jesus that every one claiming to be his disciple should know that will establish him or her in faith, that will get them rooted in Him such that come what may, they won’t be moved. Job knew that truth, hence he could say in the midst of excruciating pain, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him” (Job 13:15). Apostle Paul knew that truth also, and was able to say:

“That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day” (2Tim. 1:12). Peter, knew it too, and said “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. (John 6:68).
It’s consolatory however, to know that it wasn’t all the disciples that were confused about the identity of their master, Jesus. One of them, Peter said to Him “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt. 16:15) Jesus replied in verse 17, “…for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven”.
Beloved, we need to have a revelational knowledge of who Jesus is. That’s what establishes us in Him. That’s what will make us go all the way with him in spite of anything. Let’s seek to know him experientially today. God bless you.
