“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” Matthew 25:13 (KJV)

The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is described as a thief in the night. The day we relax, thinking that He will not come, that will surely be the very day He will come. Jesus Christ is so good that He even gave us the signs of His second coming (Matthew 24:4–30).

Thus every Christian should be expectant of His second coming in order not to miss it. His delay has given room to some speculators to regard the words of Jesus Christ as false. They should remember that His first coming was also surrounded by a lot of mischief from people, yet He came anyway and some people missed Him. No matter how long it will take, He will still come because our God is limitless and has an appointed time for everything.

Our responsibility is to prepare by living a holy life and serving in the various capacities of His work. COVID-19 took many people by surprise, and lots of people died, even those who thought they would live a couple of years more. Some might have missed the opportunity to be saved during the pandemic, but those who took advantage of the life God gave them and accepted Jesus Christ will be in heaven to rejoice with Him.

Dear beloved, the future is not promised while you have today. Prepare every day to meet your maker, and you will not regret it like the rich man who died in his sins (Luke 16:19–31). Hallelujah! Be prepared!

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for educating me about the second coming of Jesus Christ. I accept Jesus Christ today as the Lord and personal Savior of my life. Please let me be conscious and always prepared to meet Him. Amen!

Text: 2 Timothy 2:19

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2 Timothy 2:19”

A seal on a document makes the document genuine and signifies the authority of the state.

Jesus Christ knows those who are His: there can be no better seal than this. Do we believe that we are really His? A good way to confirm this is to depart from iniquity. In as much as Jesus cannot be associated with evil, so must we refrain from evil.

Beloved, does Jesus Christ know that you are His?

Topic: You Have Powerful Armor! – by Pastor Raphael

Text: Ephesians 6:11

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)

The Most High is the most powerful soldier in the whole universe. His name, LORD of hosts, connotes a military leader. He is battle ready not to fight for Himself but to fight for His children and all who do His bidding. No wonder in the opening scripture we are being admonished to put on the whole armor of God.

It presupposes that we are in battle against an adversary. Who is this adversary? It is the devil and his cohorts of darkness, or demons. The good news is that our adversary has already been defeated by Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:15). We have been given the authority to reign on the earth (Matthew 28:17–20). However, if you don’t exercise this authority, the devil and his cohorts of darkness will toss you to and fro.

Dear beloved, you have to put on the whole armor of God so that you can continually keep the devil, demons, and opposing circumstances under your feet. Put on the whole armor—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-18) —and you will reign in every area of your life. Hallelujah! You are an overcomer!

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for enlightening me by your Word. I put on the whole armor of God now, so please remind me to always put on my armor and keep reigning in every aspect of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
