“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6).

Dearly Beloved

Jesus was/is a great teacher indeed. He is the final authority. Where do you get your instructions from?

One way of getting blessed, is to develop ‘thirst’ and ‘hunger’ for righteousness, and we know that Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is the righteousness of God for a fallen humanity. St James revealed that anyone who knows what is good and refuses to do it (when it’s within his/her reach), has sinned ( James 4:17).

There are many Christians who believe that because we are in the dispensation of grace, we don’t need to do anything as Jesus, the grace of God has done it all for us. This is a faulty belief. Yes, by grace we are saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8). By grace, we are who we are. But do we continue in sin so that grace may abound?

Developing thirst and hunger for the righteousness of God to be manifested in your life is a huge responsibility. You can only be filled to the extent that you are thirsty and hungry. You can choose to be blessed. How much hunger and thirst do you have for the righteousness in the word of God? You have a responsibility to love righteousness and hate iniquities. You will be filled to the extent of your hunger and thirst!

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” ( Psalm 35:27).

Stay connected to JESUS, the Word. Be knowledgeable and wise. Be enlightened.

Become a DISCIPLE, AMBASSADOR and a MISSIONARY for Jesus Christ henceforth.

Word for Today: Keep Enhancing Your Faith by Hearing the word of God.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” ( Romans 10:17)

Dearly Beloved

You can keep increasing your faith by exposing your heart, soul and spirit to the word of God every moment of your life. The more of the word of God you have inside you, the more your faith increases. We know that without faith, it’s impossible to please God ( Hebrews 11:6).

Increasing faith should drive away spirit of fear, laziness, doubt, worry and ignorance; these are replaced by joy, peace, life appreciation, equanimity and love.

Keep soaking yourself with the word of daily and allow the faith of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ, takes over your life.

It’s well with you in Jesus name. Amen

Word for Today: Emulating JESUS oneness with His Father.

Memory Verse:

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise” (John 5:19).

Dearly Beloved

The secret to effective Christian living is learning to emulate Jesus Christ. Without closeness and oneness with Jesus, it’s difficult to please God. The secret of Jesus victory on earth was His oneness with His Father. Hear Him: ” I and my Father are one” ( John 10:30). Please, remember that oneness does not necessarily connote equality. Jesus Himself said: “…for my Father is greater than I “. (John 14:28).

When we look at what is happening in the church (the body of Christ ) today, we see that most of the church leaders, ministers, pastors, evangelists, bishops etc are not truly ONE with Jesus Christ . A true Christian has oneness with Christ. A true Christian emulates Christ. How can a person say he or she is a Christian but doing a lot of things Jesus was not doing while on earth? There are numerous practices and activities in the church today which are contrary to the nature of Christ and His Father.

Only God can salvage the situation in the church today.

My prayer is that we should group up spiritually, and increasingly so:

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen” (2Peter 3:18).

Remember, Jesus has extended His glory (which is His Father’s glory ), to all true believers:

“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” ( John 17:22-23).
