Theme: Examine Yourselves!

Memory Verse:Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves(2 Cor 13:5).
Beloved, the new thing the Lord is about to do in your life requires sincere, honest self-examination. Brother Paul says : Examine Yourselves to see if you are in the faith(2Cor 13:5).

God is a wise builder. We are co-labourers with Him. 1Cor 3:9 says:For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. What materials are you allowing God to build you with? Remember that you are born again of incorruptible word of God: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever(1 Pet 1:23).

In the beginning the devil purpose of visiting is to destroy. The devil is a con person and a master destroyer (John 10:10a). Often times, he uses very indirect methods like enticement, deceit, seduction and manipulation etc. Many in the body of Christ today are under the bondage of the devil due to ignorance. Many are in captivity of fear, laziness, coldness, worries, grumbling, unforgiveness etc. Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted in your body, soul and spirit shall be rooted up in Jesus Mighty Name (Matt 15:13). Amen.

Do you have unresolved anger towards anyone? You might call it righteous anger! Do you have unresolved bitterness against anyone? What about envy? What about pride? What about indiscipline or lack of self-control? Yours may not be any of these. Oh, what about laziness? What about procrastination? What about miserliness? What of fear? What of little lies? What about lack of zeal for the word of God? What about oversleeping? What about eating too much. Songs of Solomon 2:15 says: Little foxes spoil the vineyards. Be open, honest, and sincere with yourself.

If only you allow Him, God is working through you in a way that will amaze even youself:Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously:for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you (Hab 1:5)
Be transparent in your thoughts, words and actions. The kingdom of God is all light with no trace of darkness. Henceforth, may no evil force operate in your body, soul and spirit in Jesus Name. Amen. Received more grace in Jesus Precious Name. Have a blessed week

To have increasing spiritual knowledge, requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: Train yourself to be godly(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV). Please, key into the Word of God Ministry.

PRAYER: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace of sincerity to embark on daily self-examination in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

In the Ministry Of the Word (MOW)-Acts 6:4, we primarily encourage, motivate and empower believers to be rich in the words of God: let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom(Col 3:16). The entrance of the Word into our spirit is the true source of light in a dark world(Ps 119:130). We also encourage believers to speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs(Eph 5:19). We encourage everyone to seek first the kingdom of God & his righteousness(Matt 6:33). We stress that righteousness exalts(Prov 14:34) and that we are established only in righteousness, which also free us from oppression (Isaiah 54:14). We stress that righteousness consciousness remove fear and brings about boldness(Prov 28:1). We emphasize that pure Christianity is about True Spirituality in Christ Jesus. We emphasize that the POWER in the blood of Jesus has set us FREE from bondage, and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor 3:17). Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life(John 14:6). Jesus is the Word of God who existed with God from the beginning(John 1:1).He created all things and without him was not anything made(John 1:3) The words of God are spirit and are Life(John 6:63). We allow the Scriptures to answer all questions. We create the awareness of the truth that Jesus has made all true believerskings and priests unto God and his Father(Rev 1:6). In addition, as a spiritual body, we also empower unbelievers, using the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ with the understanding that when they witness the power of the living God, they will exalt his holy name (Psalm 46:10). One major objective of MOW is to increasingly improve spiritual understanding of everyone. Spiritual ignorance is a major cause of human destruction, even within the body of Christ(Hosea 4:6). Indeed, many children of God have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (Isa 5:13). Please note that the MOW is an initiative and the spiritual arm of Abasi Health Foundation (AHF). AHF is a registered NGO in Nigeria , with the primary objective of empowering all groups of people to optimize their health. It is aimed at encouraging everyone to have increasing awareness of three broad levels of health: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. May God give you the grace of increasing understanding in Jesus Name. Amen.

Let the Word of God Nourish your Health.

Theme: Let the Word of God Nourish your Health
Memory Verse:

“For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:22).
Beloved

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” ( Isaiah 1:19). This season, the LORD wants his children to enjoy health and material prosperity in Jesus Christ. The only source of true prosperity is the word of God in Christ Jesus.
The book of wisdom says:

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my saying…for they are life to those that find them…” (Proverbs 4:20-22). The word of God can nourish your flesh or physical health. The Word of God says this about Moses at the age of 120:

“And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated” ( Deuteronomy 34:7).
If you desire to remain fresh even in your old age, then endeavour to key into the word of God. According to our memory verse, the word of God is ‘health to the flesh’. God’s desire and plan for his children is to enjoy all round prosperity: physical or material prosperity , mental health prosperity and spiritual prosperity. This is clearly stated in the word of God:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”(3John 2). Most people would agree that God has the best plan for us. He says :

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” ( Jeremiah 29:11).
Diseases, sicknesses, poverty, frustration, stagnation are never God’s plan for us. The enemy has done this! Knowledge is vital. No matter your situation or condition, God’s word can reach you, heal you, and transform you. God’s word is not limited by physical or spiritual boundaries :

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12)
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20).
Beloved, no matter your current level, you can go higher. If you are sick, thank God that you are alive, you can be healed. If you are in good health, praise God in Christ, you can enjoy a higher level of divine health in Christ Jesus, and keep sickness away permanently. You can be renewed through spiritual transformation by the word of God, if you focus your attention on the Word in total obedience:

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).
This is your season of all round prosperity. I pray that you will be willing. Never forget, in life, nothing goes for nothing! Salvation is free because JESUS paid for it. Let’s obey Jesus. What else can you render to Jesus?

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). However, the first thing you must desire greatly is total spiritual freedom through the truth in the word of God ( John 8:32).
Prayer: There is someone reading this message, receive the grace to nourish your body, soul and spirit with the word of God in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

WHAT COUNTS-by Rev A AKPAN

WHAT COUNTS

“My food, said Jesus is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work” John 4:34.

On a certain day, Jesus along with his disciples embarked on a journey to Galilee from Judea. They decided to pass through Samaria where he happened to meet a woman of Samaria origin. Tired from a distant journey of trekking, he sat down by the well presumably to refresh and take some rest before proceeding on the journey (4:3-6).

There he met with the Samaritan woman who came to fetch water. Jesus requested some water from her to drink, but the woman noticing that he was a Jew questioned why she should obliged him, seeing that Jews and Samaria had nothing in common. (Vs7-9).

Jesus took advantage of the opportunity and engaged her in a conversation that would lead to her Salvation (Vs 9-30). By this time his disciples had gone into town to buy some food, apparently having been hungry as a result of long, tedious trekking. On their return, to their amazement, their master was deep in conversation with this woman. When he was done talking with her and she left to announce that she had seen the Messiah, his disciples persuaded him to eat something. But Jesus said to them: ” I have food to eat that you know nothing about” (vs 32.)

At that, his disciples wondered amongst themselves if someone had brought him food while they were away. But He opened up and told them that his food is to do the will of him who sent him and to finish his work (vs. 32). That was what counts to him, not food, not personal gratification, nor interest, or ambition. But to do the will of his Father (serving God by any means and at whatever cost, busy winning the lost into God’s kingdom).

As followers of Jesus, this should be what counts to us. Nothing else should matter to us than getting involved in “the kingdom business ” Everything other thing should be secondary.

You are a Victim of Your Fear.

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding
Theme: You are a Victim of Your Fear.

Memory Verse:

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” (Job 3:25).

Beloved

We bless God and the grace in the Word of God for knowledge and understanding.”Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord” (2Peter 1:2).
Due to ignorance, many Christians have become victims of diseases, accidents and varied adverse circumstances . This season, in Christ Jesus, the LORD wants to set you free, and restore you by improving your understanding.

The LORD says: “I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you” (Joel 2:25). To be fruitful in the kingdom, the LORD says you should avoid shallow water and learn to launch deep: “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” (Luke 5:4).
Many children of God are victims of fear. According to our memory verse, what you fear most will eventually come upon you. Many people have developed cancer after a period of fear of having cancer, perhaps triggered by the fact that someone close to them or someone they know have cancer or died of cancer. It is the same for many other diseases and disorders. The truth is that God has not given us a spirit of fear:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind ” (2Tim 1:7).
Fear is the exact opposite of faith which comes by hearing and soaking yourself with the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Fear often cause illness and prevent many true believers from taking the necessary steps required for their fruitfulness. Our Father himself is very much aware of this, hence He commands us to Fear Not (Gen 15:1), in up to 365 times in the bible. God is very much aware that we are victims of our fears. The only one the LORD wants us to fear, is Himself, which according to Him, is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom (Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 9:10; Psalm 111:10). The truth is that you become what you fear most. You tend to focus your mind, heart and spirit on what you fear most. If you sufficiently fear cancer you will experience cancer; If you sufficiently fear failure you will experience failure; If you sufficiently fear God, you will experience God in Christ Jesus (2Cor 3:18).

So brethren , what will you rather fear?
During the call of Joshua, God assured him: “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” (Josh 1:5). But when God saw Joshua’s fears, He commanded him: “Be strong and of a good courage”(Josh 1:6-7). Yet, Joshua was still fearful. Hence, God became rather angry with him, and you could notice some anger in the tone of God’s voice: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest”(Josh 1:9).
In the army of Gideon, I understand a mere announcement that if any one is fearful, he should stay back, led to 22,000 men out of 32, 000 dropping out: “Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand” (Judges 7:3).

Brethren, believe me, fear is real in spirituality warfare. However, we need not be afraid once we abide in him (John 15:7). We are not fighting on our own strength(Zech 4:6). God in Christ is our senior partner. He is our invisible miracle worker. Every Christian should see himself or herself as a co-builder, a co- labourer with God in Christ (1Cor 3:9).
In true spirituality warfare, fear is real. If it were not so, God will not command us to ‘fear not’ 365 times in his instruction manual (the Bible). If you sufficiently fear God, other fears will fade away. In spiritual warfare, you need Esther’s mindset of ” if I perish I perish” (Esther 4:16), to fully claim your lost glory.
Receive the grace to be sufficiently God fearing in Jesus name. Amen

Practice Makes Perfect

Ministry Of the Word (MOW)

MOW-True Spirituality
Improving Our Spiritual Understanding
Theme: Practice Makes Perfect.
Memory Verse:

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect” (Genesis 17:1).
Beloved

We bless our perfect God and the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As per our memory verse, in Christ, God has called all His children to walk with Him in Perfection. This week the Lord is directing His children to focus on perfection, excellence and holiness. The LORD is reminding us that the blessings of Deuteronomy 28:1-14, is premised on perfect, complete obedience to His word.
In a broad sense, perfection is state of completion, flawlessness or excellence. To be perfect is to be pure, without blemish, mistake or error. Perfection does not come with ease. Only in Christ are we complete. Perfection can only come from the Holy Spirit and without Him, it’s impossible to be perfect. When the enemies of Daniel examined him, they could find no single blemish to accuse him with, because the spirit of excellence (the Holy Spirit) was in him (Daniel 6:3).
Our theme for this week says practice makes practice. The Lord is my witness how often I encourage my spiritual children to learn to write. They often find writing spiritual messages very challenging. Some of them appear ashamed to learn. Many of them could spend hours talking ( only God knows what they are talking about), instead of spending the time to learn to write spiritual messages that the Lord could use to bless others. It is well recognised in teaching methods that writing facilitates learning a lot more that listening without taking down note. Perfection does not just come; it comes through practice. There is a saying that if you don’t use it, you lose it! As anointed as Jesus was, the scripture enabled us to know that He Himself learned obedience through what He suffered:

“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him” (Hebrews 5:8-9).

The challenges you go through should lead you to total obedience and perfection; so in the midst of challenges, remain focused on the Word and refuse to be distracted.
Jesus while on earth was both fully divine and human. No single blemish was found in Him. He says:”Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” ( Matthew 5:48); He says only the pure in heart shall see God (Matthew 5:8).

Jesus is God’s perfect gift to humanity, though many are ignorant of this truth. When a gift is from God, it must be perfect:

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17).
Many Christians treat sins, mistakes and errors with levity. Remember the word of St James: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all” ( James 2:10). What God expects from you is complete obedience.
What you do with the gift of God is entirely your choice. Thank God we are playing our role. Refuse to be ignorant. Henceforth, start to practice writing and sharing the word of God with others prayerfully. Though it might appear challenging initially, persist in it with consistency and as you write spiritual messages, I can assure you that with time, the Holy Spirit will take over.
Receive the grace to daily share the word of God with others in Jesus name. Ame
