Ask and it shall be given to you…

“Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? (Matthew 7:9-10).

Dearly Beloved

The grace of God (Jesus ) is speaking to someone today. He is speaking to you through questions:

“If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? ( Luke 11:11-13).

Even the most wicked early father will not give his son a scorpion if he asks for an egg! If we know enough to give our children what is good, how much more our Heavenly Father.

Jesus wants us to ask:

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” ( Matthew 7:7-8).

Be specific in your asking. Unfortunately, many children of God do not know how to present their request before the Lord. Remember how the former blind Bartimaeus cried for help in Mark 10:46-52, and the Lord stood still for him.

Cry to the grace of God today and tell Him those things you want Him to do for you. Be specific in your request.

Stay connected to Jesus Christ, who was with God in the beginning-the Word of God.

Maintain integrity in all aspects in dealing with others. A good name is better than the finest gold.

Be merciful, kind and compassionate with one another.

Prayer Point

Father, please grant my request in Christ Jesus , in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Blood of Jesus! Blood of Jesus!

Thank you Jesus for granting my request.

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven” ( Hebrews 1:3, NIV).

Dearly Beloved

If you truly know JESUS CHRIST, then you know God. Though, He is Son, there is absolutely no difference between Jesus and God the Father. Indeed, the bible says:

“For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell” ( Colossians 1:19)

Again, the scripture tells us that:

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9-10)

Jesus Himself revealed:

“I and my Father are one” ( John 10:30).

How intimate are you with Jesus Christ? You are the only person who can answer the question sincerely . God knows the truth.

Some people are in a haste to run to another person at the slightest challenge, though happy to bear the title ‘born again’ Christians. I believe many Christians, need to meditate Jeremiah:

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD” ( Jeremiah 17:5).

Let’s learn from apostle Paul whose intimacy with Christ was unparalleled. Nothing else was more important to him after he found Christ. Even death could not frighten him. Hear him:

“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ” (Philippians 3:7-8).

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” ( Philippians 1:21).

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” ( Galatians 2:20).

Stay connected to Jesus Christ, who was with God in the beginning and was God-the Word of God. Be intimate with JESUS. You cannot know him enough.The more you know Jesus, the more you know God.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” ( Deuteronomy 30:19).

Dearly Beloved

Choose the word of God in Christ Jesus and live. There is no excuse to remain in ignorance. We know that in law, ignorance is no excuse. The consequences of disregarding the word of God is much. You don’t have to be religious about following the word, rather be spiritual.

Spiritual understanding will help you, your family, friends and those around you to live a victorious life. There is no compromise to knowing the word of God and obeying the word of God. Doing so is righteousness . The word of God says God can never forsake the righteous. The book of Proverbs assures us:

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18).

Stay with the word of God always and let the word of God guide you daily. Jesus Christ is the Word (John 1:1).

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:2).

Make the Word of God your number one priority.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen” ( 1 Thessalonians 5:28).

Have a Spirit-filled Sunday

Be kind, merciful and compassionate to others.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Point

Father, we thank you for Jesus Christ that have kept us alive. Please, give us the grace to choose life and live in Jesus name. Amen
