Word for Today: Spiritual warfare with your mouth.

Word for Today: Spiritual warfare with your mouth.

Ministry of the Word(MOW)-True Spirituality(TS)

Memory Verse

“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Revelation 19:15).

Dearly Beloved

Every true Christian has been recruited in the heavenly army of our Lord Jesus Christ, to partner in the destruction of the works of the devil. Christianity is a spiritual warfare. Jesus, the our heavenly captain has equipped you with a ‘mouth and wisdom’ ( Luke 21:15). Please, arise and make use of your mouth. Do not let the enemy capitalise on your spiritual ignorance.

Our captain Himself does not want any man to perish. He does not want a single soul to perish. He said those who are NOT with him are against him. He is appealing to everyone and at the same time also warning everyone to repent.

“Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth” (Revelation 2:16).

The word of God is the sword of the Spirit. Christians need to have increasing consciousness that Christianity is a spiritual warfare. How can you go to war without being armed by your align- the Holy Spirit.

Without holding your written Bible, how often do you say ‘it is written ‘ . Thrice, Jesus was tempted, thrice He defeated the devil with ‘it is written ‘ ( Matthew 4:1-11)

If you have received Jesus Christ, then you are a son. You are no longer a servant. You have to arise and function as a son.

As many as received Jesus Christ are GIVEN POWER to become sons of the kingdom of God ( John 1:12).

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” ( Ephesians 6:17).

A Christian who is unable to say ‘It is written ‘ regularly and when challenged is spiritually empty and armless.

Henceforth, spend time to ‘eat’ the word of God( Jeremiah 15:16), so that you will be armed and always able to say ‘it is written…’, when challenged and even in peace time.

Stay connected to JESUS, the Word. Be wise. Be enlightened.

Become a DISCIPLE, AMBASSADOR and a MISSIONARY for Jesus Christ daily.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Be compassionate and kind to one another.

Have a Spirit-filled weekend

Word for Today: Be constrained by the love of Christ.

Word for Today: Be constrained by the love of Christ.

Ministry Of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality (TS).

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding.

Memory Verse:

“For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead” (2Corinthians 5:14)

Dearly Beloved

Jesus said:

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” ( Matthew 5:44)

Let the love of Christ constrain us to do certain things and NOT to do certain things. It’s easier to understand that someone died for his friend, but unthinkable that someone died for his enemy. Yet, while we were sinners Christ died for us. Some people may say they don’t believe in Jesus Christ, however it does not stop Jesus loving them, after all He died for them. Without Jesus Christ , no man is anything.

It sounds logical to react with anger and bad word in retaliation when we feel insulted, especially if the allegations are false. It sounds logical to curse our enemies. However, this is not what the Word of God (JESUS) is asking us to do. Truly, it’s difficult for the natural man to bless his enemies. Only a regenerated person filled with the Holy Spirit of God can accomplish this. Jesus says:

“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you” (Luke 6:28).

Apostle Paul also emphasised this teaching in his epistle to the Romans:

“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep” ( Romans 12:14-15).

Further down, he added:

“Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:17-18).

Jesus says:

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” (Matthew 7:12).

Word for Today: My Father is always at work…

Word for Today:

My Father is always at work…

Ministry Of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality (TS).

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work” (John 5:17).

Dearly Beloved

The book of Proverbs says:

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

Many people appear NOT to value the work they do. Whenever, you have an opportunity to do any work, whether paid or voluntary job, please do it heartily as to the Lord. Believe you me, whatever salary or wage you get from your employer is nothing, compared to the spiritual reward that only the good Lord gives.

Many people are NOT committed to the the work given to them whenever they have an opportunity to contribute something to life. Be a builder! Do not be in the companion of destroyers. Never forget, while on earth everyone is a co-labourer with God (1Corinthians 3:9). Ignorance may not allow some people to be conscious of this. That person or organisation who provided you the work is a mere agent of God. Work while you are on earth because there is no work in the grave, when you leave this world.

Be kind, sincere, honest, faithful, transparent, diligent and passionate about whatever ever task you are opportune to undertake, and you will be amazed how much God will reward you:

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ” (Col 3:23-24).

“My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee” (Proverbs 7:1).

Stay connected to JESUS, the Word. Be wise. Be enlightened.

Become a DISCIPLE, AMBASSADOR and a MISSIONARY for Jesus Christ.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer Point

Father, please give us the grace to do every work with sincerity and passion expected of us in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Blood of Jesus!

Thank you Jesus for a New Day.

Word for Today: God is able…

Word for Today: God is able…

Ministry Of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality (TS)

Improving Our Spiritual Understanding

Memory Verse

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20).

Dearly Beloved

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (2Corinthians 9:8).

The Word of God in Christ kJesus is able to do far above what you can ever think or imagine. Many people actually belittle God in Jesus Christ in their thoughts, words and actions. Beloved, fear and doubt are terrible. All things are possible to him who believes. Indeed, it’s to you according to your faith. God Himself is at work. So also is the first beloved Son( John 5:17). If you have been empowered to become a son of God ( John 1:12), please get up and work. Yield yourself to the power of the Holy Spirit. Be honest and sincere with yourself. There is no more time to waste. Time is running out!

Remember, your words are very important. You can transform lives by the words you speak:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John 1:1-4).
