Word for Today: Righteousness (5)-Let righteousness flow.

Word for Today: Righteousness (5)- Let righteousness flow.

Ministry of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality

Memory Verse

“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream” (Amos 5:24).

Dearly Beloved

The good Lord wants righteousness to flow out of us like a mighty stream. Do everything possible to stand for what is right as contained in the word of God. Many people compromise easily, believing it’s for the sake of peace. Any peace that is not founded on truth, justice and righteousness in the word of God, can not be true peace. Prophets Jeremiah noted faulty peace at his time: “For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 8:11). It’s better to war war than ‘enjoy’ peace that is not based on the righteousness of God.

In everything you do, let your life promote the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus on earth. Where the righteousness of God flows, it attracts justice, fairness, mercy, integrity, divine abundance and love.

God is pleased when you promote His righteousness on earth. Without righteousness, it’s difficult to please God. Everything works well with the righteousness in the word of God, including our faith. The just or the righteous shall live by faith.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” ( Psalm 35:27).

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17)

Please, keep your thoughts and mind healthy and ‘cleanse it with the  washing of water by the word’ (Ephesians 5:26). Your destiny is dependent on your predominant thoughts, beliefs , confessions and actions.

Have a blessed new day.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Jesus for a brand new day of perfection.

To grow spiritually requires daily meditation with the word of God (Joshua 1:8) and seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness  (Matthew 6:33). It also requires total fear of God, and  spiritual training in the word of God: “Train yourself to be godly”(1Tim 4:7-8 NIV).

Prayer Point:

Our Father and our God, please help us in our desire to let your righteousness constantly flow out of us in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Yours in the Vineyard of Christ.

Word for Today: Righteousness (4)-Blessed are they…

Word for Today: Righteousness (4)-Blessed are they…

Ministry of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality

Memory Verse

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6).

Dearly Beloved

This is a great teaching from the final authority Himself. One way of getting blessed, is to develop ‘thirst’ and ‘hunger’ for righteousness, and we know that Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is the righteousness of God for a fallen humanity.

There are many Christians who believe that because we are in the dispensation of grace, we don’t need to do anything as Jesus, the grace of God has done it all for us. This is a faulty belief. Yes, by grace we are saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8). However, having sufficient active faith by itself is a huge individual responsibility . Some Christians think that faith is merely a passive process-just believe. Faith without work is dead (James 2:17).

Developing thirst and hunger for the righteousness of God to be manifested in your life is a huge responsibility. You can only be filled to the extent that you are thirsty and hungry. You can choose to be blessed. How much hunger and thirst do you have for the righteousness in the word of God? You will be filled to the extent of your hunger and thirst!

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” ( Psalm 35:27).

Please, keep your thoughts and mind healthy and ‘cleanse it with the washing of water by the word’ (Ephesians 5:26). Your destiny is dependent on your predominant thoughts, beliefs , confessions and actions.

Word for Today: Righteousness (3)-The God of righteousness.

Word for Today: Righteousness (3)-The God of righteousness.

Ministry of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality

Memory Verse

“I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures” (Proverbs 8:20-21).

Dearly Beloved

Choosing a life of righteousness automatically attracts divine abundance and long life. God desire is to lead us in the way of righteousness through His word .

The challenge with many Christians is that they have not taken time to ‘hide’ the word of God in their hearts. The word of God in our hearts helps to expose our errors, mistakes, wrong steps, so that we may not sin against God ( Psalm 119:11).

Righteousness is the nature of our God. Indeed , His eyes are too pure to behold evil ( Habakkuk 1:13). The bible is full of benefits of following a life of righteousness:

“He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour” (Proverbs 21:21).

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” ( Psalm 35:27).

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread” ( Psalm 37:25)

Please, keep your thoughts and mind healthy and ‘cleanse it with the  washing of water by the word’ (Ephesians 5:26). Your destiny is dependent on your predominant thoughts, beliefs , confessions and actions.

Word for Today: Righteousness (2)-Let righteousness be your number one priority.

Word for Today: Righteousness (2)-Let righteousness be your number one priority.

Ministry of the Word (MOW): True Spirituality

Memory Verse

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” ( Matthew 6:33).

Dearly Beloved

Many Christians spend a lot of time worrying about the things of this life. Many struggle so much for education, position, title, material things etc. Please, don’t get me wrong, these things are important for our overall well being.  However, many a times, we don’t get them by struggling so much. These things are to be ADDED unto us, if we are focused on pleasing God.

Our Great Provider admonished : “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:34). So, worrying about the future is contrary to the word of God.

I guess righteousness might mean different things to different people. Righteousness is the nature of the true God in Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is our righteousness. Without righteousness, we cannot please God. Unrighteousness is going contrary to the nature of God. It means going contrary to the word of God. Unrighteousness is sinful. It connotes law breaking. Unrighteousness is often at the level of our thoughts, hence Prophet Isaiah admonished:

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon” ( Isaiah 55:7). Wickedness is to do with acts, but unrighteousness with thoughts. So, a person may not be wicked, but not necessarily righteous. Both the unrighteous and the wicked need to return to God.

Without the word of God, people are unlikely to know when they go contrary to His will, hence not in position to confess. 1 John 1:9 says “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

I am often guided by the word of St James:

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” (James 4:17)

Please, keep your thoughts and mind healthy and ‘cleanse it with the  washing of water by the word’ (Ephesians 5:26). Your destiny is dependent on your predominant thoughts, beliefs , confessions and actions.

Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
